You say he has no lower league experience but he has, he was Wales manager ;-)

What's your problem??? I don't know if this is a Ladbroke policy or just the Ladbroke in Woolston. Why do some fans feel the need to get personal and offensive? This a Saints Fan's Forum, where fellow fans come and share story's, pic's, tales and rumours. Like it or not there is 100% something going on, these rumours are on the Palace site, football forum site, 606 site etc! I hope there is nothing in it, I hope that Woolston Ladbroke's have stopped taking bet's because everyone at yesterdays game heard the same rumour and fancied making a couple of £ and popped in there on the way back to The Bridge Inn. True or not I think Mr Cortesse needs to say something, even if it's a simple "we stand 100% behind Alan and all these rumours are complete tosh"
-
Dear oh dear, In all the time I've been on this site I've started a mere 21 threads! That's exactly what happened except for the "upset" bit. He heard at yesterdays game that Pardew was on the way, as a bit of a gambler he thought he'd try and make a bit of cash on this and was indeed told "no, the books closed!" which is what I'm reporting to you lot, I don't see the problem! Months ago I heard about Avram and the brothel, I reported it to you all then as well, no self satisfaction, no ego stroking just telling you what I've heard!!
-
Potential? Surely there is more potential here than at say Wolves, Bolton, Wigan, Portsmouth etc???
-
Wither or not the rumours are true or not I don't know, what i do know is that this thread is not bullsh1t, this is what my daughters boyfriend was told at Ladbokes today, I and he hope it's untrue and Pardew is still here in 5 years leading us to 6th in the Premiership and onto the Europa league!
-
I also support Pardew 100% but is this not the whole point of a fans forum, to post rumours, tales, pics etc etc?
-
Your right Hughes has no League 1 experience but could NC's thinking be that as our aim is the prem get in a prem manager now so we don't have to replace (cotterill) when we make the Prem? For me this shouldn't even be on the agenda, Pardew deserves at least another year!
-
No linky i'm afraid, daughters boyfriend went to place the bet earlier today!
-
I stayed in the pub too, as did JB, no chicken land for me though, just more pub, club, pub, kebab!!!
-
Ladbrokes have suspended all bets on Pardew being sacked and have told anyone wanting to place said bet they'd have to go to an independent agent. The said bookmaker also said Hughes was his replacement! I realise this has been touched on in other threads but this rumour is gaining massive speed and with the bookies suspending bets it looks imminent! For me this is worrying, Mr Liehberr and Cortesse said this was a 5 year plan, after year 1 I feel we've made massive progress, I feel Alan has formed the basis of a great team capable of winning the league 1 title next year and would be gutted if he was sacked, both for me and more importantly him! I feel he has earned the right to have a full pre-season and a shot at the title next year. I also wonder what sort of message it sends out to the rest of football if we were to sack him, what would be the clubs stance if Hughes fails to get us promoted next year? Lowe made a huge error in sacking Pearson, do we really want to go down the same route again? Your thoughts please, would you be p1ssed if we sacked him, would Hughes replacing him soften that, is success at all costs the way we want our club run???

I all ways wave go Ted when I drive past, y wife and kids roll their eyes!!!

I'd really have to question NC's decision making, I can't see who's out there better qualified than Pardew? Don't get me wrong, there's been games when I've questioned Pardew's tactic's and sub's, but on the whole I like him, I like his vision, I like his press conference and I love his passion! At the start of the season most of us would have been pretty happy if we were promised what we've ended up with! NC think long and hard, do we really want to start all over again? Do we really want to overhaul the playing staff again? If we're still in this league at the end of next season then yes, act swiftly and decisive like Coventry have, but lets give him a full pre-season and get behind him!!!
-
I'm so sick of being told to "stop sulking" and "get behind the new man" When Lowe got rid of Pearson you all said the same thing as well as "he's unproved" and " see what he does in the Championship" well he's done pretty good! Pardew has had a great season, he's started building something here, we are winning games, a lot of games. I've been to Wembley, and seen my great team win a trophy, I've seen my team overcome -10 and compete for a play-off place against all the odd's. You say that "rest assured if nc gets shot of ap whoever he brings in will be good" like who, who's better qulified with a better record than Pardew? Lets not make the same mistake we made when we let Pearson go, Pardew, Liehber and Cortesse signed up for a 5 year plan, I've enjoyed year 1, can't wait for year 2 and can only dream about where we'll be after year 5!!
-
To be honest he looks pretty happy @ 3mins 50 seconds, also look pretty happy when he shake NC and Ml's hand and again when he waves the saints flag and picks up the cup!!! http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00qcpsh

What I am calling pathetic is TDD attempt of trying to stir things up, make an issue out of something that was so obviously nothing. If I couldn't hear the booing then it was obviously nothing! Thats all, and again he thing that impressed me most was Marcus taking pictures of his day out!!
-
There is no way on earth I'm reading an entire thread started by the mind numbing bore that is Dell Days! You may of heard boo's, I didn't and I didn't hear boo's on the bbc highlight show either, maybe the boo's were in another tier or the other side of the ground to me, i didn't hear them, don't see why I should "shut up" because I didn't hear what you did!!!
-
Who the fck are you telling to shut up? I heard no boo's, I've watched bbc2 again and again heard no boo's! If you and dell days want to make a mountain out of a mole hill you carry on. For me I love seeing our club stable, united, moving forward and winning games and trophies, if that's all to positive for you, I'd suggest maybe watching the blue few next year, there's plenty to moan about down there!
-
yes you are pathetic, I heard no boo's yesterday at the game and I've just watched the bbc2 highlights and again heard no boo's! The one massive highlight for me watching bbc2 was seeing Marcus with his camera out, taking pics of his, feel he's falling for our club big time.....COYR
-
Portsmuff won the fa cup and you don't see many of their shirts outside of Pompey. Villa are pretty good and again not many of their shirts about. Blackburn won the league etc etc
-
I stand corrected, sorry I was wrong, maybe there were 2 coaches and I just assumed they were both from the same place, it still impressed me though!
-
Not saying Saints fans from everywhere aren't welcome, all i'm saying do we really want to become just a corporate club, selling it's soul, becoming a franchise? When we were in the Prem I was amazed to see 2 coaches from Weymouth Saints at every game, we have a huge catchment area, yes utilise it, fill the stadium, increase it and fill it again, lets just not sell out!
-
You've only got to see the stick Saints fans give United fans for being plastic, waving thier season tickets at them and singing "do you come from Manchester" as the reason most do not want to be like them. I love Saints, my whole week year is built around them, when we are invited out my wife all ways consults the fixture list first. I want Saints to be successful, I want us in the Premiership, I want us winning cups and competing for Europe, I just don't think we need to sell our soul to achieve this. We have a great set of fans, loyal and die hard, yes increase SMS capacity, but lets keep Southampton Saints!
-
What about the other arguments, the reasoned ones for staying? Note: why should we be looking to attract fans from elsewhere? We are Southampton and proud, we are not, nor do I want to be United!
-
7 home wins in a row at our **** tin shed ground will do for me matey, and sms can increase capacity to 55k which will always, always be big enough for us!
-
That's why I like it, I am cheap and after yesterday 100% cheerful!
