  7. Unfortunately I haven't managed to get away this year mate, what's being sung at away games, and to which tune???
  8. At the moment mate, we all know Rickie as made a massive leap up in his career by joining us :-)

  10. Agree, I think all of Pardews signings have been pretty good. The back 4 look strong and solid, Hammond is holding things together well in the middle and we now have a genuine goal threat in Lambert and Waigo. The subs bench is pretty exciting to, anyone of Saganoski, melis, Paterson, Wotton, Gillet etc. Things are starting to look good, onwards and upwards!!!
  11. In all fairness Norwich have a great board, the ticket structure and pricing has been excellent for years, real value for money, they also put the early bird's on sale as early as February (i think) which is obviously a good tactic as relegation and promotion is normally along way of, with the obvious exception of Portsmuff who are fooked after only 6 games :-)
  12. LOL Quite right mate, I mean, 3 pitch invasions during the game holding play up for several minutes, mounted police holding the hooligans at bay with riot police outside with baton's drawn with snarling dog's on the leash!!!!
  13. Mindless Saints fans did not attack a few middle aged Yeovil enjoying a quite drink. Yeovil lads left the game early to take the pub, Saints came in to be met by the 'green army' chant, Saints laid into them and there was a few slaps handed out. Yeovil got exactly what they went looking for. ps I counted 9 Yeovil, and they were still beckoning Saints lads whilst stood on the bypass behind the railings! I'm not saying its right or wrong, just pointing out that it was not mindless Saints fans, Yeovil came looking, and found it. I'd also like to point out that Saints lads could of handed out a good kicking as numbers were on Saints side but were happy to give them a slap and send them on their way! Just to put the record straight!!!
  14. Its easy to cut and paste peoples post's for your own interpretation Mr. Trousers. The point I was trying to make, which I think I have if you read the post again was, it was not mindless Saints fans attacking innocent Yeovil fans having a quite drink. Yeovil fans instigated the trouble, wither or not the Saints fans who reacted to the taunts are mindless is open for debate, I was merely responding to FF post saying it was 'mindless Saints fans attacking innocent Yeovil' that's all my friend.
  15. No Mike, I'm just trying to give the full picture of what actually happened. FF states there were 4 Yeovil fans enjoying a quite drink, where in fact there was at least 9. They had purposely left the game early to 'take the home pub'! They were not merely singing 'green army' it was a call to arms, a "we're here, what are you going to do" gesture. I've been in this pub loads of times with home and away fans happily mingling, this was not the case on Saturday. Yeovil were in the Alfred with intent, they went looking for a fight and they found a fight. I'm not justifying the trouble just trying to give people the balanced look as opposed to the normal 'our fans are ****e' which is what normally gets spouted on here! Ps Mike, I didn't "Lay into them" just happened to walk in there as it all started! What people should also realise is we are now in league 1, hooliganism is rife in this league and league 2, it has never been stamped out down here. We've been used to the safety of the Premiership, where its awash with money to pay for heavy policing and stewarding. The fans are different as well, these are real clubs with die hard fans, not corporate giants with the 'prawn sandwich fans'. I really do feel a little perspective should be kept here lads, things are different down here, Bristol Rovers on a Tuesday night isn't going to be for the faint hearted!! The bottom line is we are a massive club in this league, teams and fans are going to be up for us, this is their cup final, us, Leed's, Charlton and Norwich are the Man u, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea of League 1! COYR

  17. Hang on a minute..... Let me get this right, you weren't at the game yesterday yet you still created a thread slagging of a player that you haven't even seen play????????? Feck me!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. not with our new super dooper team and mentality!!!
  19. Saints have been drawn at home to play Birmingham in the second round of the Carling cup, a winnable game imo!!
  20. Kind of thought we already paid for the policing of the stadium via our tickets!!!!! As I've said many a time, the away section will hardly ever sell out in this league so the club could simply close the section directly next to the Itchen North and block 1 of Itchen north. This would give you the segregation the club wants, also opening up more seats for HOME fans thus (hopefully) creating a better atmosphere and greater vocal support for the home team!
  21. It happens there, it's just no one see's it because all the blinds are shut!!
  22. You could well be right my friend, could that be because we've closed the Itchen corner and now closed the back 4 row's too???
  23. what's 'quite ghey'??? Your not addressing the point though mate are you?? THe club and Pardew are asking for more atmosphere yet close the Itchen corner!!! Before people say that the 'singers' from said corner can simply relocate it's not that simple, it's the actual location that generates the atmosphere!
  24. The club could actually help themselves in this area. Most atmospheric (imo) of the ground is/was the Itchen corner, what do we do, close it. Fans still try to get it going so what do we do, close the back 4 rows of the Itceh corner. Are we the worst treated home fans in the league?? Surely the boxes are for home fans only?? If away fans choose to buy a box they should be told that they'd be ejected if they caused any offence, but no, we'll close HOME seats and move HOME fans! Also I remember travelling to many away games and being told 'bing bong, this is a message to travelling supporters, you will be held in the ground for 10 minutes to allow home fans to leave safely' here we get 'bing bong, this is a message for HOME fans, you will not be permitted access to the north car park'! Surely it'd be safer for everyone if the club simply kept away fans in for 10 mins????
  25. Funny, me and my mates were having the same conversation but about Jamie White, sort of saying he'd need a bit more muscle, strength to handle this league, comparing him to Owen, saying Owen is a class striker in the prem/international but would struggle in this league as the ref's don't protect the players and allow them to be musceled of the ball!
