  1. Maynard would be a great addition. Would be bring pace and goals with a predatory instinct. He is also on his way out with Bristol City keen to sell and they can't hold out for big money because he has just 5 months left on his contract. Would cost probably half of the reported Hooper offer was. And Billy Sharp is available of course for around £2-3M, a bargain for a proven scorer at this level. Just a few thoughts.......
  2. Still think he is top quality though and with any injuries to our front man, i.e Rickie or Connolly (who is injury prone) or Guly, we will be short of options up front. I know we have scored the most goals in the division but improving our front line which is what Hooper would have done isn't surely a bad thing? Plus, despite the Lee work permit thing going through last week, he still hasn't signed on the dotted line and will not be eligible for selection in matches.
  3. Boro and Cardiff don't have huge squads and haven't really had any injuries to key men like Miller or Emnes. If injuries come, they could struggle but do seem to be hanging in on there. It is very tight and a 4 or 5 winning run will be beneficial to any of the top 3 or 4 because they may be able to pull away but it is very close. Just keep that gap above second to more than 3 points then I can rest comfortably....
