  1. You say that but his current club don't want him. Why not make a move for him? No harm in trying.
  2. We should make a move for him, looks a better player.
  3. Anyone fancy Ron Vlaar from Feyenoord? Could go double dutch at the back with jos.
  4. I hate Brighton and I hate Poyet.
  5. Great tone of sarcasm there, I think? You couldn't possibly be referring to Nicky Shorey as young and hungry?
  6. I agree, would be good for us and we do need a RM.
  7. Great idea, shame you couldn't spell either the great man's first name or surname! Don't see it happening though.
  8. Reading were reported to have had a bid accepted but McDermott stated yesterday that they would sign Mariappa and one other that they have had their eye on for a while, believed to be Chris Gunter or Danny Simpson. So perhaps they may have cooled their interest in him? I have to say, I havent really heard of him but seems to be a strong player and still very young.
  9. Anybody got any news on this deal? Gone a bit quiet since yesterday...
  10. Did you see him then?
  11. Can I just say to people questioning others views on players Saints should buy and saying that they are not ITK, that this is a HCDAJFU thread where people can post names who they personally feel can do a job for us whether or not it is actually going to happen. People just need to relax and not take everything at face value in this thread sometimes. It can get very tiresome.
  12. Great player, mentioned him about a month ago after Denmark's win over holland at the euros. Looked good.
  13. Heard we have agreed a £1.5M fee with Palace for Clyne.
  14. All of those on that list are good players, would be happy with any of them really
  15. Going to sound weird this one but I actually found last seasons away games at Bristol city, an absolute dump without seats, and Doncaster, which happened to be on my birthday, where we just didn't turn up. Freezing aswell. Still, just a blip..
  16. I reckon we will be on Monday night with Newcastle v Spurs on Saturday lunchtime.
  17. It was £17 and I have to say a pretty mediocre watch. No interviews or looks at the table through either of the seasons, just the goals. Unfortunately, once again, Pardew was effectively written out of Saints' recent history with not a mention of his name or his sacking. Shame because the work he did paved the way for Adkins to complete the job, superbly I may add. Anyway, I digress. The DVD was edited shockingly and looked very unprofessional. It is impossible to think how a Saints fan can actually find it hard to watch 2 terrific seasons in the clubs' history, but I did. Could have done a much better job IMO. It's lack of attention to detail is summed up by a spelling mistake of 'production' spelt 'producion' at the end of the credits. Apologies for such a negative post.
  18. Get Michu in from Rayo Vallecano. They have no money and he has a 3M euro release cause. He scored 15 goals from midfield last season. Should make the move IMO.
  19. I have to say the 2009/10 season probably was the most enjoyable because there was the feeling of relief that we were still a club and were just happy to still have Saints. Pardew did a wonderful job in assembling the squad he did from a team on the way down. The last 2 seasons have obviously been amazing too. Keep them coming Saints!
  20. Back on topic, no queue for the shirt or printing in the megastore today. Some staff members don't seem keen on the shirt but it will grow on people, once people get used to it.
  21. It's a football kit and it's the same with most things in life - some people like it and some don't. Moaning about it doesn't change anything. The kit will not be changed, even though most people on here would like it to be. The colours are the same (red and white), so in the end nothing too drastic like Cardiff fans endured with a complete colour change. People need to be realistic. The club have designed this kit to be a bit different to the Stoke's and Sunderland's, and tried to make a striking kit for our Premier League return. People moaning and saying that the people at Saints have ruined our history and tradition are wrong. In the end, our very first kit was the sash and the current regime brought it back 2 years ago. We're still in the Premier League, no matter what the kit looks like.
  22. Source for this rumour? Or is it literally, "my mate said we want jenas". Any substance?
  23. 3 weeks actually. Time is ticking away and we need to start concluding deals before the pre season tour
