Tweet from the local Bologna journo. He said that the president would remain in England and could continue talks.

Where is this from?

Everyone 8s except Puncheon - 4
-
So proud tonight. Immense, but need a new winger instead of puncheon.
-
Fonte will be captain I would have thought.

It's encouraging that we have actually agreed terms with the player an convinced him that Saints is the right club for him. Unusual with a player of his quality that the fee with the club is the main sticking point and not personal terms and the size of the wage packet.

Lee over Sharp and Lambert? I'm glad you're not the manager. Guly disregarded once again I see. Still, we don't even know if Phillips will sign at this stage.
-
Scotland had actually played pretty well tonight, 3-1 up now. Can see Fox being a regular for them in the future

That is probably the best article I have read from the Echo, which puts everything into perspective in terms of adjusting to a higher level of opposition and different styles and formations. It highlights areas of improvement that everyone on here seem to be worried about, but recognises the positives from pre season and on transfers. Good piece Gordon Simpson, for once.

I think he is a shocking ref. Everyone always goes on about how good he is for football but I haven't seen him Referee a decent game. I suppose better than D'urso and he should be a Deadman but not really difficult. Still, I doubt they will affect the result too much at the weekend.

Haha, classic.

Blackpool report Saints over Phillips approach
Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod replied to SuperMikey's topic in The Saints
It seems that: 1. Holloway is concerned that we may get Phillips and has decided to try and publicly shame us in order to cool our interest, or 2. The media have got it wrong and holloway was referring to a different club and Saints have just approached with integrity and legally. Either way, we do want him, which is good news especially after tonight... -
Tel Ben Haim? Dave Kitson?
Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod replied to the saint in winchester's topic in The Saints
The thing is, these guys weren't sold from Portsmouth, their contracts were mutually terminated because nobody wanted them. They have been rubbish for the last few seasons and Ben Haim has never been good. Kitson had one good season with Reading and then did nothing for Stoke. I can't actually believe you're being serious in making a claim for us to sign these two Pomoey rejects. -
Tell them to stuff it. We need him ready for city.

Summer 2012 HCDAJFU Thread - Premier League Special Edition
Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod replied to Jimmy_D's topic in The Saints
I seem to recollect that Wolves finished bottom in the PL last season and had the worst defence, and every game they played that I saw, their defence looked an absolute shambles. Oh that logic, I hope we don't sign Berra. We should aim for better. -

Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod replied to Jimmy_D's topic in The Saints
In the extended press conference interview, when asked about Lens and Dann, he refused to comment on the names but underlined strongly that the positions are correct. In short, he wants to bring in a CB which we knew and definately another winger if possible. -

Bit too optimistic there I think. Can't see us buying another keeper. I would say 3 more signings. -
Ajax Build Up, Match & Reactions Thread
Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Decent performance from us I thought. Ward- Prowse was super and Schneiders grew into the game as did lallana. Could have scored a couple today but we moved the ball about pretty well and you can sense we are improving as the new season is getting closer. Fonte was poor today though, giving the ball away and being sloppy, emphasising the need for a CB/CBs, but Nigel knows that anyway. Another mention to Fox, who I thought played very well, looked good in possession and put a few good balls in. Clyne also looked lively, a bright season ahead I hope. Finally, how great is it to have Nigel our manager. I just feel he says all the right things and I feel we are in great hands with him in charge. Always positive but realistic aswell. -
Lucketts based in Fareham, so a mixture of us and Pompey fans. Good company though, never let me down before.

Dan Harding to Forest - Confirmed

Confirmed by the Forest owner on Twitter. Thanks Dan, good luck. -
Signed for Norwich. No great loss, threw his toys out of the pram by the sounds of it.

Beram Kayal - £5m - from Celtic (linked in Telegraph)
Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Brilliant player, really assured player who can defend and attack, can also chip in with a few goals too. He was always a stand out whenever I see Celtic alongside Ki in the centre of midfield. Would be a very astute signing but probably unlikely in an already occupied central midfield position. -
I would be very happy with snodgrass. Can't see it though, just a random rumour. I may be wrong though...
