  1. Get Allan McGregor in from Rangers on a free, save the money for an outfield player (CB, CM etc.). £6M for a player who has only played at L2 level and who would likely to be understudy to Kelv for a bit, is quite high but he does have potential I suppose.
  2. Anybody else thought of getting McGregor in from Rangers? He has rejected the offer aswell and will be a free agent. Has always been a good keeper.....
  3. £1M? That's ridiculous. He is by far their best player IMO and I doubt they would sell for £10M. Would love him but can't see it unless we pay big bucks.
  4. Yea they must have moved it forward for some reason...
  5. You have to wonder whether the olympic torch is the reason for the high prices rather than the fact that we are in the Premier League now. The teams last year were just as good as Arsenal and 'newco' Rangers will be with half a team. Strange move by the club and I fear that the attendance will reflect many fans discontent at the extremely high prices. I know the Olympics only comes around in your home country, once or twice in your lifetime, but at the end of the day, this is a football club and we are football fans and football is all we really want to see from our money. I may be wrong.
  6. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2389078,00.html £16 for an adult last year. £25 seems steep considering only 2 out of the 3 teams are likely to field a team...
  7. Good player, would certainly take him if he is willing to have a pay cut.
  8. In terms of a centre back, I know he plays for Roma but they are fallen giants nowadays, I would look at Simon Kjaer, the centre half who played alongside Daniel Agger when Denmark beat Holland at the weekend. Good age but probably got bigger admirers than us but thought I would throw it out there anyway.
  9. Adkins signed on a Sunday
  10. http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/transfer-rumours/120606/rodriguez-set-seal-£7m-southampton-switch-173752?
  11. Probably mentioned by others before, but surely if he went on holiday before the bid was made, he would probably have left from Manchester airport and therefore likely to arrive back there. Not that it really makes a huge amount of difference.
  12. Sorry if this has been asked before, does anyone know when the kit will be released? I am surprised the club didn't release it early this year, to maximise sales because of the high of back to back promotions, but they know what they are doing I'm sure.
  13. Even if the theory that the Indian group were paid to be in the programme and it was all staged is correct , it still emphasised the Programme's message. They were still attacked for the colour of their skin, regardless if the BBC put them there or not. I don't believe the BBC did fix the footage, just to demonise Ukraine and Poland. Not all of the media resort to such tactics like Murdoch would have done and probably certain members on the board of Uefa and FIFA if they were guaranteed a large cheque at the end. Bottom line is, the programme was shocking and shows the incompetence of the people in charge of European and world football.*
  14. If you are genuinely happy admitting you were wrong last year, do you not think you could possibly be wrong again? Also, it's nice to see you can blow your own trumpet about the 100m even if you can't get behind Rickie.
  15. I honestly don't know how any of you can doubt Rickie after what he has done for us over the last 3 seasons. You don't need pace to score goals and there is much more to his game than just an aerial threat. He has missed a handful of games for us and is looking in peak condition and much fitter. The same doubters will be saying they always knew he would step up if he starts scoring goals for fun next season.
  16. BBC Radio Solent now also reporting that a bid has been accepted for Jay Rod.
  17. Totally agree. I take it you watched Soccer Aid like me then? Quality player who is available on a free. Could be our Scholes.
  18. Another load of tosh. I forget that Goal.com are the first place for transfer news..... Expect nothing less from the sports media biased to all London teams. But, are any of us bothered about what goal.com's second rate, BBC reject reporters think our transfer budget will be? Didn't think so.
  19. Would be a great addition, like Roberts for reading last season, could help the group. Also, seedorf has left AC Milan. I know he is 36 but can still offer a lot. I'm just getting carried away a bit....
  20. That is true, but hindsight has given us the perfect opportunity to berate him nonetheless. Even you admitted his stupidity. Did good for us by building St Mary's and building up our academy and we are all grateful for that, but he didn't really look too far into the future in terms of financial security, did he.
  21. Duck shooting wasn't it?! Haha, such a missed opportunity. I bet Lowe thought he was such a good businessman when he turned Drogba down. Duck off Lowe!
  22. What a **** Rupert Lowe was!!
  23. They got lucky today, Blackpool played better but couldn't finish. However, they do deserve to go up and despite all the stick he got, Allardyce did his job and got promotion. Well done west ham, hopefully we will get some points off you next season.
  24. Out tomorrow morning first thing.
