I wonder if Chinny will ask the PDT in court to disclose the actual numbers of converted supporter pledges and their total value in order to compare against the amount those generous property developers are putting in to the bid? It would certainly help him to highlight that the PST really is nothing but a front for the developers to make money - at his expense - if the actual fan contribution is as low as it seems to be...

So 100 people turned up - including kids dragged along by their parents looking for somewhere free and warm to spend the afternoon. I'm sorry, but that's pitiful. Yes Colin, but how many of those "around 2000" (so that's under 2000) have converted their pledges into actual share purchases? And you've really only had 1000 people get involved in syndicates? Is that all? Even for Pompey, I'm shocked at that. Only "around" 3000 people have actually bothered to make a promise - one they may have no intention of keeping - to "save" the club.

Interesting piece that SteveG has tweeted regarding Bassini and Watford http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/watfordfc/watfordfcnews/10080321.Bassini_and_Watford_charged_with_misconduct/ Although the offences are not necessarily similar to any that may or may not have been carried out at Pompey in recent years, it is interesting to see that the FL are willing to investigate and charge Watford and Bassini even though Bassini is long gone. For Watford/Bassini, read Pompey/Chanrai et al? More hope that Mike Hall's Fine Work may get the recognition is deserves - that from the FL....

One of their uber-fans. I think he's a bit mentally deficient, tbh. He's the spanner who was photographed in the news outside the court building when Birch was appointed, celebrating the victory. Victory.

Yes Olly, it's AMAZING.

See you all in The George. http://www.georgeinthestrand.com/

When you got your maths so very, very wrong. I don't know which is funnier - if his figure is wrong or if it's right.
-
It also suggests that if they've played 100 home games since winning the FA Cup, 2000 different people have been to each and every home game and never gone back. Not something to boast about Mr Hall, even if it wasn't totally made-up b0ll0cks.

Farting around in the lower reaches of League One. They truly are back. Back where they belong.

Beat me to it. Hi Corp, you spaztard!

Like Buszaky was "set to be a Championship midfielder" after spending a few weeks getting match fit with them?

Just over a month ago....

I agree. They should have used King Kanu, Tal Ben Haim, Sol "£100k/week" Campbell, Asmir "£1m to get rid of" Begovic etc etc.
-
That's excellent

MASSIVE. Just MASSIVE.

We've had significantly different experiences then

So passionate only 11,000 could be bothered to turn up - assuming that every single ST holder was there, which is unlikely.

And I bet these were hugely unwieldy, incredibly difficult to manage, always late, always over budget and rarely delivered what the hospitals actually needed, when they needed it, in the quantities they needed - just like every other government procurement programme.

I hadn't realised that Mendez-Laing had joined them on loan. Saw him a couple of times for Posh when he was on loan to them in L1 and he was a bit bobbins. Couldn't understand why they actually then signed him permanently, especially for money Looks like he'll fit right in with Pompey too - he's been kicked out by Fergie Jnr for getting ****ed in town the evening after losing to Palace and getting a slap on the wrist from the Police for a public order offence...

Chinny can also point to the PKF proposals of April 2012: The Club plays its home fixtures at Fratton Park, a c21,000 all-seater football stadium owned by the Company. It has a net book value in the Company’s accounts of c£13.2m.

I vote for the mods to move this to the Golden Threads forum so it can serve as a reminder to one and all that Alps really is a spanner.

Unlikely.

Spoken with the gravitas of man who has spent his whole working life in the RN submarine service. Oh, wait....

Yes they are. They are being dealt with in exactly the same manner. There simply is no conspiracy, just a reluctance from the football authorities to kill off a fairly senior professional club which is totally understandable. If financial irregularities are proven then the authorities will be forced to act. They can do nothing else at the moment though because they are waiting for the results of the DNA test to prove that the big grass-eating, milk-producing animal that goes "moo" is actually a cow.
