I only have one hdmi on my surround sound and that goes to the tv, I want to be able to on occasions play my laptop through my surround sound for music, will a hdmi splitter work? External sound card has been mentioned, is that a goer? Help.

I am not suggesting its simple if procedures were not in place, if they were its very very simple.

I am saying exactly that, if all safety measures have been taken and the determined person still got in an injured themselves then there would be no case, climbing up a crane is determind action, the issue is how he got up there, if all saftey protocols have been followed then there is no case to answser. Him breaking in and willfully breaching safety gates etc etc in the way shows in simple terms he was prepared to break the law to reach his goal, it would be a minefield and even the most liberal of judges would balk at giving a guility verdit.

No they wouldn't if he "broke" in then how can they be responsible? As I said a no defence bar 24 security (there could be a case there) everywhere can stop a determined trespass and thats what this is, his actions after that are pre-planned (the break in is as well), how do you prosecute someone for that? If the site fails (there wil be lots of questions to how he got in) a h&s audit then obviously heads will roll.

Secret site agent is talking crap, all steps have to be take to ensure a site is as safe as possible, this is done through h&s walks to establish possible unsafe areas of a site etc etc, determind people will always get in though, if he got through a hole in the fence a case would have to be answered but if he scales a fence then that is something completely different.
