  1. Such a great transfer window. Lovren, Wanyama, Osvaldo, wow. Would have been happy with just one of them! Best bit is that we aren't going to have to endure any last minute panicking on transfer deadline day. Done some fantastic business already, now we can sit back, relax, and see what deals there are to be done. I'd be perfectly content if the window were to close now.
  2. Actually great. Just a question of whether it would catch on. Maybe rework the last line to: Hey! Pablo! Score the Saints a goal! Or not.
  3. Danny, Danny-stone (to the tune of 'Daddy Cool')
  4. Lovely man, thanks for updates. Had me there.
  5. Posted something similar to this earlier on, but think he could earn up to €5.5m with performance-related bonuses. €3 million as base salary, with the rest performance-based.
  6. Probably worth shipping Mayuka out on loan when Pabz arrives as he's not going to get much game time. Would rather see Seager used as fourth choice striker. Kid has talent.
  7. Amazing news. Think we might be getting a few more female followers if/when Pabz signs. #fittie
  8. Took us five games to get this points total last year, get in boys! My stream died at 87 mins so missed the pen. Very annoying, but chuffed with the last minute pen - overall, we definitely deserved it. Some great debuts - Lovren, Chambers, and Wanyama all slotted in seamlessly. Lovren's awareness, composure, and passing made us look so much more organized at the back - who would have thought we had two 18 year old full backs playing? With Chambers, Shaw, and JWP, the future is very bright. Looked a bit toothless going forward and J-Rod didn't have a great game, but hoping we will get one or two more options in to add competition there. Game was pretty dull in second half, but we stayed switched on, remained obdurate, and got our rewards. Not often I said that last season!
  9. Really impressed by Lovren so far. Passing very well, covering LB superbly when Shaw is out of position. Also drawing fouls intelligently. Looks a class above.
  10. I thought Kevin Friend was Howard Webb with a hair transplant #uncanny EDIT: google-imaged him, they look nothing alike.
  11. To be fair, some of JWP's set-pieces have been cracking.
  12. Shaw is tearing it up on the left wing, goal now would be lovely.
  13. Chambers is doing ok. A bit cautious and too many balls back to Boruc, but looking solid.
  14. Lambert looked marginally offside, AL definitely onside. Linesman was ruling off for Lallana though, so correct decision but by wrong methods. Lovren looking classy. JWP very confident - nice to see some decent set pieces being flighted in. COYR!
  15. To be fair, their bench hardly fills me with dread. We have Davis, Cork, Ramirez and Clyne to come on and do some damage, better options than what West Brom possess IMO.
  16. Just caught the goals, Cody Cropper looks abysmal. Didn't move for any of the goals!
  17. Not sure how credible this guy is - he is the one saying something 'exciting' is happening at St. Mary's - but judging from his twitter feed he seems to have contacts with PA journalists. Suggests that we are 'currently way ahead' in bidding for Osvaldo, and also that Spurs are readying bids for Lamela and Pjanic. Meanwhile, Roma will use the Osvaldo money to go for Adrian at Athletico Madrid. Tom Morris ‏@thomas_j_morris 59m @GoTalkFootball thanks for the updates, do you know how credible spurs interest in Osvaldo is? Sniffing around or serious interest? Talk Football ‏@GoTalkFootball 55m @thomas_j_morris #THFC are at the moment, in talks with another two players from Serie A. #SaintsFC currently way ahead of Spurs.
  18. All the more reason for us to be delighted if he does join us. :)
  19. Means nothing if no fee is agreed with club. Lots of reports said same about Wanyama and Cardiff.
  20. Pretty sure the Spurs link is lazy journalism prompted by the Baldini Roma/Spurs connection. If their interest is contingent on selling Bale then can't see them being ready to make their move just yet. Also, I reckon Lamela is probably the more suitable target given that they have already signed Soldado this window.
  21. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1738942-pablo-osvaldo-to-southampton-roma-star-would-be-a-great-tactical-fit?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter Good article on how Johnny would fit into our team.
  22. Yes, this exactly. It's kind of unsettling.

  24. 11 yellow cards and 1 red card during his time at Espanyol (44 games), so not too bad in terms of discipline. Seems to have been sent off on average about once a season throughout his career. Personally, I can live with that risk if he is weighing in with 15+ goals a season.
