There are rumours circulating on Twitter that Antonio may be missing due to Covid - a big plus for us if true despite his inconsistent form recently.

I will be going to this one hopefully covid permitting, last game I went to was the 4-0 defeat to Liverpool so apologies in advance guys. This fixture has been terrible for last 4 seasons, lost 3-0 in 3 of them and 3-1 in the other and based on our recent form I’m fully expecting the same. I think West Ham is the only team that Ralph hasn’t managed to beat yet in his time here too, just our bogey team.

I agree make them play! I wonder if our players doing relatively well to stay out of Covid is either due to: a) Southampton is just the cleanest city in the country or; b) We as a club are the nicest in the PL and so probably aren't even using our training ground facilities to the max whilst other clubs are...

Hmm gutted if this is cancelled but can see why. My only question is that with Qatar 2022 how much room to manoeuvre do we have to push season back some more. I don't think even having a pause will help, it's not like practices will change much because players use gyms/physios/doctors, they all train together etc etc and with this new easily transmissible variant how easy is it to even contain it?

Point isn’t the worst but to really pull away from the bottom 3 I’d say really a win was the target here. There is pressure because I’m not being arrogant but we should be banking 3pts at home to a newly promoted team on Saturday. I’m glad Franny is also venting similar frustration on TV too. In terms of performances though, I’d say it was a mixed bag, no one had a 4/10, but there were a few misplaced passes and other errors. I will give MOTM to Broja for his well-taken goal, drive and hold-up play for the minutes he did play.
