I still can't believe the result yesterday!! I have to be honest and say after 73 minutes, i thought about Leeds!!

Why can we suddenly afford to play Saga ?
thorpie the sinner replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
I definitely think in hindsight we should have gone down a different route!! a bit of money spent on experienced players could have meant we were safely ensconsed in Mid table!1 We might be pulling in 18000 instead of 14000 and recovering the money that way!!! If you read the profound 'Road not taken' by Robert Frost, we definitely took the wrong road!! -
If you look up southampton in the dictionary, the definition is home of dreamers and blind optimists!!!!

wouldn't you have a position for Rupes anywhere???????????

Whatever the reasons! Saga is an absolute Godsend!! -
put £1000 on and you can buy the club with the winnings, ha ha!! sound investment so I am told!!

Back to back wins, have we gone stark raving mad??????? COYR

Agree with the hard work ethic, i would still prefer to have lady luck in our corner!! i do wonder who is the most worried tonight!!! Luggy must be slightly concerned i would have thought!!

winning the 4 team mini league relegation lottery

Cardiff looked very handy today!!!! Think I would be happy with a point already!! Three would obviously be preferable, but we are going to have to play very very well! Who have Plymouth and Forest got, anyone know?? -

I actually hope and almost believe that it will be Charlton norwich and............Plymouth!!! as long as our players keep believing that is!! -
I like to think its great minds think alike!!
-
I think any points we pick up now will be welcome!!! i would settle for a point if it was coupled with a battling performance
-
Thanks!! i just need to attach it to all my posts now!! seriously, I think the comments on here last night and this morning have proved how much behind the team we are!! finally the players seem to be realising it as well!! We need to beat Cardiff now, but if we sweat blood next sat and come up short, it will still be a big improvement!!
-
The club should definitely recognise this feel good factor big time!! It could be the difference if the fans start coming bak as to whether or not we survive!!
-
They certainly played well enough for each other yesterday!
-
Is there a gold star available??
-
I don't think I could live with the pressure!!! It would be my first ever sticky!!!!!
-
yep, I am up for a run!!! I will plump for......mmmmm, yep, 18 points out of 18!!!! COYR, its been so long since I last said that
-
just think, this thread could read 3 wins in 18 next saturday!!!!!!
-
I can honestly see a return of 8 points from the set of games if we use yesterdays victory to boost morale in camp!! By all accounts we are playing well enough, just need to put ball in back of net!! Cardiff 3 points Ipswich 1 point Birmingham 1 point Derby 0 points QPR 3 points

We all know the money situation but this has got a lot to do with Lowes ego! he gambled and it failed spectacularly! even though he won't admit to failing, at least he got him back!! we now have half a chance!!!! Even McGoalshy played much better by all accounts from a deeper position!!

I think something has got to give!! The club needs money coming in and barring investment, the only way they are going to achieve that is fans going through the turnstiles! I personally believe the only way this will happen is if Lowe leaves and we start with a fresh slate! The other way is to build a team capable of challenging and constantly being in the top 8 playing attractive football! Fans will naturally wtch a successful team! Problems we have are no money, Lowe in charge and a team without the necessary experience to compete week in week out!! The only way it changes unfortunately is investment coinciding with the board leaving. without that, it will be the same as this year but worse, administration will be inevitable if it hasn't alreday happened because we can't sustain the losses. Big catch 22!!!!

I think we are underestimating ourselves!! these players have underperformed in the scoring dept all year but played quite nicely. there are teams out there very nervous this morning!!
