Have to say quite enjoyed the Championship this morning! Civilised protest, intelligent comments apart from wotte whose defensive nature just summed out problems at mo! He is well out of touch with fans feelings!!! Maybe possible investors were watching hopefully!

Well, it's 7.41am on Feb 1st! There are two days left until the end of the transfer window with extra time for English loans. What we do in those two days will more than likely make or break our season!! I am convinced if we can get a couple of strong players in who are no strangers to a dog fight, we will have half a chance. There is a feeling we may lose a few, but if they are not playing regularly then we have the chance to make a difference with who comes in to replace them. If Bwp, Dyer (500k), Skacel, Drew maybe go, but we get some decent replacements in ie Jermaine Johnson, Lupoli, and a n other, then it might be good business. I am not going to talk about must win games anymore, they all are now!! if we lose against United on Tues we could be in danger of being cut adrift, get the three points and other teams will nervously be looking over their shoulders!! This is a dog fight now, and we have to be prepared! Yesterday we showed the first glimpses for a while that we may be up for it, we need to continue in that vein!! The decisions made re players in or out will define whether we are successful or not. We cannot afford to get relegated!!!

Just to keep you informed, my 5 year old has plumped for 6-5 Saints today!!!

To stay in the Championship, I would be interested to know what people think we need in terms of spirit, personnel, tactics. Basically what will it take? I have jotted down a couple of thoughts: 1) Positivity - without it we are doomed 2) 27 points minimum, see above for importance 3) three loan signings - championship stature. one central midfielder, one right back ( move James up) and one out and out goal scorer, would obviously have to be journey man. 4) get Dyer back, new man in charge, maybe do trick! 5) off load whoever isn't happy at club or who can make number three happen 6) CHANGE OF BOARD now although that is wishful thinking 7) one system, 442 until end of season to spark some continuity One last push from fans at home and away. Cliche, but we can be the twelfth man!!!!!! we need to start picking points up regularly from sat, Lets show the swans the true spirit of southampton!!!

TBF we were never going to be in a position to let a 2 goal slip with that first half line up!
