  1. And that might have made sense if I'd typed the "if" as above. But I'm too tight to pay for the right to edit my posts.
  2. I thought the first game was good, and the second game was still alright - just would have been better though your team could be arsed!
  3. I take it this is still on then? Should be good numbers as long as your lot are turning up - would be good not to have so many this week. Do you need a lift now that Mike's not going? I don't mind giving you a lift mate - assuming it's the same place I dropped you off before ages ago.
  4. You had 2 weeks without me there to irritate you and you didn't go on either occasion?
  5. I'll play, if there's anybody else left.
  6. I won't be there. 10p on Spades scoring at least three and Rabbit swearing a lot.
  7. Maybe. Got a dodgy knee at the moment so will have to see how it feels tomorrow afternoon.
  8. No, just one of those VAG geeks that Ponty loves so much. No stalking necessary anyway, seeing as you've seen fit to publish your history of car problems on a regular basis. You've said diesel but you haven't mentioned why? Out of the models you've mentioned, the mk5 Golf 140bhp diesel is good, and can be had in fairly 'sporty' GT / Sport spec, but used Golfs are often overpriced compared to similar cars and at that price you'd probably looking at high mileage. Focus TDCi seems like a safe bet for your money, that's if you can find a diesel model that is sporty enough for you. Stick to the newer shape Focus if you do though, because the older Foucs has a pretty minging interior on all but the very top models, imo. You thought about Leon TDI? They're more sporty looking than some of the others mentioned, or would it be a major no-no having a diesel version of the car of the man 'responsible' for ending your football career? http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/SEAT+LEON/Ne-2-4-5-6-7-8-27-44-49-53-61-64-67-103-133-146-236,N-20-25-51-54-62-144-240-4294965066-4294966202/advert.action?R=200931338736335 http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/SEAT+LEON/Ne-2-4-5-6-7-8-27-44-49-53-61-64-67-103-133-146-236,N-20-25-51-54-62-144-240-4294965066-4294966202/advert.action?R=200931338812494
  9. You're right. It's because his is the 1.8 with no turbo - which was 125bhp.
  10. I agree with that, too crowded for a half-pitch game. Also, we had three or four defensive-minded players on the same team for a change, so you didn't have the space whenever one defender got bored and wandered off up front.

    Dent repair

Is the paint visibly damaged? If not, and if the dent is not on an awkward edge, then you might be able to knock/suck it out. Try googling for paintless dent repair OR removal.

    Big Toe

Is there any swelling or is the toe tender to the touch? From past experience if you'd fractured your toe then you'd know when it happened. Unless you were ****faced I suppose.
  13. I'll go. Lee - ibuprofen shortly before the flight should do shouldn't it?
  14. Hint: try not to head the ball with your nose? Most of us don't seem to bother these days so no; I still do though as I'd rather not risk it - but then I do have a track record of picking up knocks and injuries in training and kickarounds rather than in 'proper' matches. Aren't there enough drivers that we should have the essentials between us in first aid kits in our cars which are next to where we are playing?
  15. Sorry I can't do this week.
  16. If I imply sufficient commitment to get onto Robsk's squad list, can I have a 'Pugwall' shirt?
  17. I can't commit to helping run teams or playing every game nowadays, but would gladly be part of the squad.
  18. Perhaps you and Stevo could both come along? I've got rather dry skin after all the recent sunshine, so could do with some advice regarding moisturiser selection. x
  19. A lot of cars have amplifiers built into the factory aerial, and if the amplifier fails or the 12V supply to it is broken, then you get the symptoms you describe - ie strong FM stations are still fine but MW, LW and weaker FM stations are useless. I don't know of a decent place but presumably any local car audio shop ought to be able to help. What car have you got, and is the stereo standard or an aftermarket head unit? I would think the first step to diagnose it would be to swap the head unit for a known-good head unit to confirm that it's a problem with the aerial/amplifier and not with the stereo itself.
