They are both players who I think should have been upgraded in the last 2 seasons . Selling Morgan has highlighted how poor Davis is . Playing Prowse as an advanced attacking midfielder shows how poor our replacement strategy has been . I feel that both players only get a game as we have nothing better and have bought poorly . I think Reed should get playing time ahead of Davis . I feel he can develop into a much better more effective player . Prowse doesn't suit our formation as he offers so little . Hopefully Juamni can develop into a Prowse replacement. I agree that we don't have a like for like replacement for Prowse or Davis . Possibly is why I get frustrated with them . Thanks Wes , I was going to tone things down a little . I tend to react poorly when I know that the same old posters will react aggressively. It becomes a self fulfilling prophecy . The general theme on here is to be as condescending and patronizing as possible . I will try harder in future to not fall in with the status quo . As for Prowse and Davis ? I doubt bigotry has much to do with it . A player who plays well occasionally doesn't justify a position in a premier league team . Prowse doesn't do enough to justify his spot . Yes we scored from a corner . This is a rarity . Yes his free kicks are nicely taken but they never ever go in for Saints . We can't carry a one trick pony whose trick rarely works . Hopefully Dijk can take over the free kicks and thus negate the need to play Prowse . Send him out on loan until he either improves or sell him on to a league 1 club . Davis does perform a role on occassion . He runs around alot . Some fans on here just love that in a player . How many useful passes does he make per game though ? Passing back to the keeper doesn't count . For the occasional pass he makes that leads to something I just don't think he justifies his spot . He isn't an attacking mid nor a defensive mid . Ok just because you are unable to stop yourself from being a complete and utter **** at every opportunity. Prowse offers nothing as an attacking midfielder. He rarely closes players down and his distribution is poor . He lacks any sort of aggression and thus provides zero in terms of defensive ability . Davis is able to pressure players but lacks any ability to pick out a pass that will unlock a defence . Usually he will run at the opponents box and then gradually slow down as he has no idea what to do next . A champion of the backwards pass . Often loses possession yet does little to retrieve it . Cannot shoot to save himself . When both are combined it allows teams unfettered access through our central channel forcing Wanyama or Romeu into making more aggressive challenges as they are offered no protection. This draws fouls and yellow cards . In turn this also puts our defence under increased pressure . Fonte now stands out as a weak link at Cb with out the protection of a better midfield . Refreshing to have Bertrand back and no surprise that most of our best attacking moves came down his side . Hopefully Cedric can learn alot from him . Yes we are . Yet Swansea can run through our midfield at will leaving Wanyama to mop up everything . No surprise he gets booked as neither Prowse or Davis offer any help . There you go . Players divide opinion . I disagree with you of course but respect your opinion . The more Pelle struggles to score the more static he becomes . Aimless flicks , back heels to no one and endless gesticulating with his hands . He is a player who plays well when he is confident . Larger CB's who are happy to be physical . Pelle is generally static . I didn't see the Man U game as we are in Malaysia. Hard to picture Pelle sprinting his guts and and dragging the defenders around but its a nice change . I don't rate him , its not a secret . Pelle needs to be an option to suit certain teams . We need to explore other options to exploit the talents of our other players . Pelle divides opinions because he is easily nullified by certain styles of defence . Koemans inability to explore other options exacerbates the negative opinion . We support our chosen club in many different ways . Some are critical of some things , others are not . When things are going poorly , many supporters vent their frustration at other supporters . While this is pointless and idiotic it obviously seems to help . I reserve the right to question our talent scouts who choose players who are unable to play the position they specialize in . It hasn't ? Each game he has trotted out the same old excuse . We played better , we had more possession, better chances , ref was poor ( euro games especially ) . We were better yes . We started very well but its naive to assume we would have played the entire game that same way . We have often struggled to contain aggressive teams due to our defensive fragility.

How is a different game relevant here ? I assume you watched the game yet choose to not offer any comment contrary to my opinion ? Unless it seems that you didn't watch the game so your opinion is based on nothing . The happy clappy section of this forum want to believe we have turned a corner but the only reason we were able to dominate to this extent was due to the extra space . Norwich didn't know how to react at losing a player so early and pretty much played with no game plan . A better test will be West Brom . We have improved a touch but our defence ( our weakest since promotion ) was untested by Norwich. Tadic was effective because Norwich stood off him , same as Prowse . JRod could shoot on sight because Norwich were poor and stood off him . Its way too early to think we have turned any corner or the ridiculous statement of ' our season starts now ' . Lets just see what happens in the next game and go from there .

How is Wanyama responsible for our Euro exit ? The whole team was poor , the formation and squad were wrong and the tactics were abysmal . Wanyama is hardly at fault for that is he ?
