  1. Good old Alpine, never lets an opportunity to have a dig at the club go undug. Maybe it is Celtic you should be having a pop at since they are the ones who seem to be delaying the deal (if there is one). Still, we played well and lost on the opening day of last season so I am happy with a point after a not so great performance.
  2. Glad to see JRod starting. Worried about the defence this year. I think we will score more but concede more too. A draw would do for me today.

  4. Cork on just before half time.

  6. 2015 and we are still talking about football hooligans. Really frustrating that these Neanderthals still exist.
  7. And we did all of this without KP. LOL

We can debate this until the cows come home but the main thing is that the management obviously rate him so he must be doing something right.
  9. Job done. Who'd have thunk it after Lords?

  11. Totally agree. It is not how much you spend but who you spend it on.
  12. You haven't mentioned Manchester City in that list....
  13. I am not saying they haven't been successful, but given the plan was to dominate Europe they clearly haven't been as successful as Liverpool and Manchester United have been. Player for player they have spent an awful lot more on trying to buy success than either of those two teams. The last time they did anything in Europe was 1970. They are hardly streets ahead of the main premiership contenders either.
  14. They aren't the force they aimed to be either in Europe or in the Premiership - especially Europe. If I had spent that kind of money I would expect the kind of dominance shown by Manchester United or Liverpool when they were in their peek. Both kicked on at a higher level, something City have failed to do.
  15. As he has never been amongst the first names on the team sheet I would imagine that the manager and coaches aren't convinced either. Decent squad player but as long as he makes unforced errors that led to goal scoring opportunities against us a squad player is all he will be.
  16. Signing players is one thing, putting a squad together that can do what you want and can play together is another. Look at Manchester City. They bring in players at the drop of a hat yet their success rate isn't commensurate to the money they have spent on their squads. Be patient. Better to get the right player in than to sign someone for the sake of it.

  18. Not so sure. I would think, once we sign another CH, that he will be 4th choice CH. A good squad player but don't think he will ever be good enough to be a first choice.
