  1. It is was reported by the yellow journalism that him and a fitness coach set up a meeting in a hotel room with this girl for a teammate who scored after a drought, who was caught in the act by the Boca's manager. There are mutliple versions of the story, some involve Osvaldo taking part of the action too.
  2. The Saints. I started to like them playing the Football Manager series. I brought them up from League 1 to the Premier, as I imagine a lot you did. This is the first season I get to watch every game. I felt the urge to register on this forums when Pelle started game number 34141413403 without scoring and Tadic was sitting in the bench. I couldn't understand why. Now I have a better idea. Nowadays, I'm more passionate about Southampton than Boca. That's because Southampton is the opposite of Boca. Boca is the biggest club here, the most powerful, the most popular. To be on the top of the table it's expected from them. So supporting the underdog defying the odds is something different. And it is beautiful. Even more beautiful when your team goes on to beat Man U. You know what I most like about Southampton? It brings up a lot players from their youth system. That is something Boca doesen't have, it just goes around buying other clubs talent for the most part. Southampton reminds me of Argentinos Juniors in Argentina. That club produced excellent talent over the years: Cambiasso, Coloccini, Redondo, Biglia, and Boca's gratest leyends: Riquelme and Maradona. They both came at a young age from Argentinos. By the way, Osvaldo is in the highlight spot once again. Not for the goal he scored as you can imagine. This time for his "eat some grass, you donkey" scene:
  3. This is a joke, right? No way. No way Barcelona would sing a player with square feet.
  4. Mhh. Not really macho. Argentina is one of the most liberal countrys of Latin America. But the culture does differ in other aspects. We are still latin after all. From reading this boards, I realized that the professional side of the athlete is very respected, highly regarded. In Argentina, the quality of the player is what takes the attention from the supporters. I get this from the love Fonte gets, as opossed to someone like Tadic, who would be loved in Argentina. That's why people like Di Maria, Tevez or Osvaldo had issues adapting to England. They are not the role model type that englishmen like.
  5. Agreed. The cross was perfect and Costa was all alone. In fact, Costa has beaten consistenly both CBs. Other than that, there is not much more you could ask for. Ronald has to be plased. Good idea to give Long a chance, Chelsea's slow defenders having problems with his runs. Morgan the best player on the pitch so far.
  6. Thank you mcjwills and thank you ART for the information. I will be using this KODI tool, very promising. I wonder were do this streams come from. I mean, the quality is amazing.
  7. I'm amazed by the support and patience some of you have for him. Even when he was scoring I was never really sold on the lad. The strongest parts of this game are his headers, and his strength to hold up the ball, but that alone won't cut it. He is a decent target man. Good for a start here and there. But not good enough for the starting eleven on a regular basis. As a target man, you have to protect the ball but you ALSO have to pass it back accuratelly to you teammates. He never did that. He just can't pass the ball to the feet. Always off, or too strong. And I won't even get into his ball control. Can't pass, can't dribble. Some say he creates chances by attracting defenders to him. It's true, he does it. But what good is attracting defender when he disrupts every attack by not being able to pass it? A lot of chances don't get to materialize when he is involved. Just drives me crazy. I see a lot of strikers on teams way lower in the table that could have more goals than him if they were playing for us.
  8. Hi Stpedro. Not sure if you found this article or not. But when Southampton won against Man U a month ago, this was published in a football specialized internet magazine from Argentina. The article states it was very important to ramp up the interest in the sport in this country, even though they have no troubles beating every amateur team they put in their way. It cought people's attention. They went to Uruguay too. And yes, it's true, the Argentina's president of that time (1904) was in attendance. Here's the link to the article. It is called "When Southampton was here". And leave pics, for those who are curious:
  9. Being a Southampton AND Boca supporter is being very difficult for me on this Osvaldo thing. As a Boca fan I'm loving every minute of it. He looks happy. And is playing really well. About that article, his future was NEVER in doubt. He is absolutely loved by the supporters, he has everybody in his pocket. He talked about being a Boca fan growing up, dreaming with this moment, talked about Boca pasts leyends, etc. Plus, when he arrived the country he landed with this shirt: It was clearly a joke on Boca's heated rivals, River Plate- Boca had just beaten them 5-0 on a pre-season game. Those derbys are taken VERY seriously, pre-season or not. River fans automatically started hating the lad for this But as Southampton fan, well... I just want him back. In my opnion, he is way more talented than Pelle, we desperately need him up front. I know he is a headache for every manager, but, it's just comes with the packet. Me personally, I just want to win. And we need someone like him. Here is the thing: Boca could survive without Osvaldo, I think Southampton needs him more than Boca actually. Boca also has young striker Jonathan Calleri, who is being rumoured to be going to Arsenal. And Carlos Tevez is coming back to Boca next year. So I love that he is playing for us in, but when the loan ends, please, let him come back. Or... let Boca keep Osvaldo and get Calleri before Arsenal does. This is what this Calleri lad can do. Scored this beauty two weeks ago.
