CLOTH EARS Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 There must be a deadline date for us to obtain our license to play in the football League? Is it this friday 3rd?, or is that just the date the administrator has set for a deal to be done?
Whitey Grandad Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 Did I read that there was an 18 month limit for a club to be in administration? On that basis we have until October 2010. Not that the Club is actually in administration, mind.
krissyboy31 Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 Clubs do start seasons whilst in Administration, so there must be a temporary license scheme of some sort. A club only gets kicked out of the league if they've been in Admin for 18 months. That's not to say that we will not resign if we are unable to trade on. lee_saint Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 I agree Krissy, at the end of the day we might not have a squad for the current season. We can sale Surman but the money would only cover us until Aug, where we would start the season with no coaching staff, no team, no manager and no bloody hope! We would have the season-ticket money by then, but it would all be a 'big mess'.

BUT, the FL were saying for them to issue us with our license we need to waive our right of appeal, unless somebody does this they will not issue us with it, will they? It couldn't tick us over, season ticket money would still only cover the wages for a small period. At the end of the day we couldn't last the season, we would need gates in excess of 22k, but we won't get that!

In all fairness who is going to buy a season ticket not knowing how many games they may see. Could prove quite expensive
