TBF sometimes there are genuine reasons. My nephew and his GF (both STH’s) caught the train from London and had to be on the 5pm return. They knew they would miss about 15 mins. Given that could (and should) have been a critical period that’s decent commitment to come down beforehand knowing that.

Simple solution. First request to see the tickets and the second show me or you’ll be ejected. Maybe some proper enforcement and it being publicised by the club might nip it in the bud. However being the UK and woke it’ll be everyone else’s fault apart from those causing the problems

As I mentioned earlier they aren’t his calls. FWIW on the Itchen side second half there were a couple where arguably we were off and they weren’t given so it’s swings and roundabouts. I was at the game yesterday, sitting in the Itchen bang in line with the handball. Staggering that he didn’t give it. Having said that though I didn’t think he had a particularly bad game. The offsides are for the assistants and not him, so he’s always going with their decisions. The trouble is though that he’s paid at that level to make the big decisions and it certainly won’t have done him any good to have not given a stonewall pen. He’s assessed every game and when he sees it he’ll be seething with himself and probably the assistant too. We were just as culpable for missing nailed on chances
