Keeping Track of the Contracts 2025-26
bangkoksaint replied to Over land and sea's topic in The Saints
TBF if we don’t go up the team and manager will be gutted. Can’t see them doing a Coventry and staying together to smash it next season. As good as we currently are and with all the potential if we don’t pull it off I genuinely fear we’re a Stoke in the making. -
We’ll do the Saintsy thing and lose 2 more games this season - both at Wembley.
-
Woke nonsense
-
We’re fighting on 3 fronts, playoffs, FA Cup and maybe trying to bag 2nd. The players have incredibly well to get to this point given how woeful we’ve been. Personally if come Wednesday we’re out of the 2nd place running but nailed on for the playoffs then it may stand us in good stead. Mentally and physically it’s been a demanding period.
-
Personally I want to see us going up through the playoffs. Or is that too big a dice to roll?
-
Absolutely this. I’ve been watching him closely at games and he seems frightened to take players on or lose the ball. Consequently he often checks inside and plays the easy ball. Maybe it’s his confidence but it slows our play down.

Just include the booking fee in the ticket price. I hate things like this, I usually look elsewhere if there is P&P when buying on the internet whereas if they just wrapped the price up its far more transparent. It's the UK however and its the job of everyone to rinse everyone else for as much as possible
-
If the conundrum is Pompey win tonight and stay up which enables us to sneak into 2nd place then I hope Pompey are playing in the Championship next season
-
TBF Cat A always cost more 😉
-
The circle I find difficult to square is that everyone to man, apart from a couple that matter, knew and saw how bad Baz was but simply stood by him despite what the evidence was telling us. TBF it was criminal and Still should have called it out at the start of the season. We’ll never know but maybe if he had and we’d got someone half competent then we’d have Ben knocking on the door of the top 2.

Showing your age!!
-
Absolutely. Also the fact its City doesnt help. Let's be honest, even if many dont want to say it, the chances of beating them are extremely slim. So if you're a family and end up with the more expensive end of the tickets its going to be expensive. For the 3 of us, including travel, as Im a few hundred miles away, it could be a £700 day out. That's ridiculous for a game that is on TV and at a stupid time.
-
Its okay though as there's no cost of living crisis and everyone's flush. I despair with how football supporters are exploited.
-
Whats the allocation....36K? City wont take all theirs.
-
No sadly I dont. I love what he gives but is there extra impetus in his play due to the WC? If he fires us to the PL and then leaves he'll remain a legend!!
-
It decides everything. Disgraceful. Basically City is on Saturday I expect
-
In 2004 we got the semi draw that we wanted!!
-
Just wondering what Mateus Fernandez must be thinking right now? And maybe Adam Armstrong too. Maybe not Arma but Matty may have a tinge of regret?
-
Am I correct in saying it was Will Still that pushed hard for signing Leo? Maybe if he blasts us into the PL and that is correct then Will can take some of the credit for the season!!

Read a bit of negativity over CL including last night. He came on, did what was needed and held the ball up well before laying it off for what proved to be the winner. Think back a few months - Damion Downs wasn’t keeping that ball like Cyle did.
-
TBF if we draw City on the Sunday, given the costs, travel disruptions and likelihood of winning, I think a few will be put off going. Everyone who wants one will get a ticket with a proportion buying but with no intention of going. I’m not being negative but City is a different animal to the type of team Arsenal put out last night.

Can see the FA being absolute jobs worths.
-
Yeah good point
-
Strong team but FWIW risking Leo with 2 massive games coming up is, dare I say it, a tad reckless.
