I think you’re spot on with this. I don’t think we’ll go up this season and we’ll see more bizarre contract extensions and sales of some of our better players. Couple that with another YTS manager at the start of next season and the additional financial hardships that people will be facing and there will be a significant drop off in attendances.

You all deserve medals, especially those that don’t live in Southampton and will have to travel in. Scandalous that the game has come to this. I very much doubt any other derby in the country has these issues - and for what? Of course the club will be very grateful to you all. I expect them to pick up the transport tab, lay on refreshments in the busses and maybe even give a voucher for the Saints store - just as a thank you because that’s the sort of club Saints are.

I wouldn’t be surprised if TE is being dictated to by the players and SR. I draw that conclusion from the players he has selected and tactics we’ve used. I don’t believe for a minute he has the backbone to do what he knows he should be doing. He’s landed a top gig and either way he’ll get a payday. He needs some experience next to him but that won’t happen. Forget our starts to games, it’s 90 plus minutes and if those games are analysed I bet we’ve underperformed in a significant amount of those minutes. Those starts will dry up and it’s then that we’ll settle into our natural position 7-12th. It’ll be rinse and repeat next season until he is sacked and then invariably again with whichever YTS manager we employ next.

This together with not getting promoted and probably losing a few our better players will see a significant downturn in ST renewals. I genuinely think a lot of people have had enough and with a tougher financial climate on the horizon this will a step too far by SR

TE isn’t taking this team up. A nice purple patch of results but most teams will have worked us out now so together with sticking with a back 5, playing tippy tappy football and having a clown in goal we’ll just fizzle out. It’ll then be when they sack him
