I don’t think the club reads the room at all well. On the evening we lose a generational talent, ‘one of our own’, they unveil a journeyman 3rd choice GK with an official unveiling video. If I was their director of comms I’d have done this in a low key way and probably the day after.

Jacob Ramsey a 24 year old proven PL player with around 150 appearances has just gone for £40M. I get it that TD has lots of promise but my god have we seen much of it in his fledgling career. He may be a £100M player one day but in our situation and at around £35-£40M or whatever it was I’d take it. Everything is a gamble and who knows who’ll be right come May next year
