TBF I just want to enjoy watching us play - whatever league we’re in. For the likes of us, Leicester, Ipswich or whoever, we’ll never be competitive in the PL. I felt better about Saturdays last season playing in a so called inferior league than I do this season in what is supposedly the promised land of the Prem. I don’t buy into the idea either that we’ll just lose our best players because even if we stayed up we’d be asset stripped by the bigger clubs of any decent players - it’s happened for decades. Add in VAR and FFP and nothing that I’m watching this year is enjoyable. I decided to save my time and money today because it would have been a 400 mile round trip probably costing £150 or more.

Kamaldeen Sulemana - £22M - £40K/week - 2 goals Ross Stewart - £8M - £20K/week - no goals Paul Onuachu - £18M - £30K/week - no goals So that’s nearly £50M on those three who cost us circa £100K a week in salaries. But TBF we have had a couple of ‘dead rubber’ goals from Sule.

Ultimately the three promoted teams will probably be relegated - like last season. It’s not good for the PL or football in general across the pyramid. The same 6-8 teams will take the European places and win the cups. Personally if we just yo-yo between leagues I’d take that as at least we’ll get occasional enjoyment. Football is so broken with how they’ve implemented VAR and FFP.

Is the honeymoon period over for Ivan 🙄. Our issues are so deep rooted and they’re not being solved this season. Onwards and upwards to next season in the Championship.

I agree over his affection for the club but his lack of professionalism is really unforgivable. To compound his first (and correctly given) red by verbally abusing the assistant referee is scandalous given his position as captain and experience. To then get another red for pulling hair is just staggering. He is not a youth player - he’s a 30 something experienced PL player who was the captain. Sorry Jack but like Russ, thanks for the day at Wembley but please move on now.

If we’d just paid a bit more money/salary and got Delap in, or similar and sacked Russ 10 games ago we’d actually have a decent chance of staying up. Unfortunately it’s too little too late.

No wonder they all liked him. He just wanted to be liked by everyone and anyone who’s managed anything or anyone at a decent level knows that isn’t possible. It’s a fine line but it appears there was no division between him and the players
