Few questions about the training sessios,

1) Are the public allowed to view?

2) what times are the training sessions?

3) Is staplewood within walking distance of a train station, and if so, what one?

thanks in advance

1) Sometimes ,it can be arranged. Contact the club. ALternatively, you can watch most of the academy games down there. Which is often a lot more entertaining than it might first sound.

At the moment the public are actually encouraged to join in. We might find a midfield and strike force that way, you never know.

2) Traditionally all football training starts about 10 in the morning and finishes before 3 o'clock. These vary on fixture commitments and individual players trainig programmes. Also, purely coincidently, 3 o'clock is the traditional pub opening time.

3) No. Sorry. I think you can bus to marchwood.

This probably didn't help much did it?

Call the training ground, the number is on the official site. They do let people in but only to certain sessions. I think it used to Thursday mornings, but right now the players probably need to get their heads focussed on playing football. We need to start a battle cry for Saturday. Come On You Reds.

Isn't the academy the first team now anyway? The season tarts on Saturday. This may sound like a naff thing to say, but we got a game of football to play on Saturday.

Blimey! It's turning into a bit of a grudge match too from what I read on the North Stoneham forum ( I think there's only the one lol)

I've been,Thursday mornings,10am-midday approx.

Did have a word on the gate with the security a couple of days beforehand just to confirm it was ok.

Used to be Tuesdays but that changed as it became the day set aside for the press.

I does change depending on what regime is in charge at the time, apparently Burley didn't like the public to watch, whereas Pearson was great and most accommodating.
