Golden Balls Posted 2 September, 2008 Share Posted 2 September, 2008 While cleaning up a load of clutter on my computer, I deleted some important stuff. Any way of retrieving these files at all?
thesaint sfc Posted 2 September, 2008 Share Posted 2 September, 2008 I can do data recovery for £95. No charge if unsuccessful. I work for a company who specialise in data recovery.
Al de Man Posted 2 September, 2008 Share Posted 2 September, 2008 Stop using that PC. Use another PC to download an "undelete" utility which you can run and hang the first hard drive off it as a slave. If you don't have a second PC, you can install the undelete on the PC you're trying to recover from but there's a risk you will overwrite the files you want. thesaint sfc Posted 2 September, 2008 Share Posted 2 September, 2008 Yeah as Al De Man says, stop using the PC ASAP.
St Landrew Posted 2 September, 2008 Share Posted 2 September, 2008 He could have been using it TODAY 10:11 AM. This may be a good time to say to people - if in doub't, DON'T DELETE..! At least until you've had a chance to check on what you're deleting, or copied the data to disk.

Not sure if that includes files though, pretty sure it doesnt so its a moo point, cows point of view. means nothing. You've just answered your own query. System Restore takes the system files back to an earlier state. Any non-system files are not changed, deleted or otherwise.

Any way of retrieving these files at all? Probably stating the obvious, but did you empty the recycle bin or are they still in it?
