forever a red and white Posted 3 August, 2009 Share Posted 3 August, 2009 got a 106 1997 indepedence XL. Currently got a clock instead of a rev coutner but hoping to change this so that there is a rev coutner. Anyone know where i can find rev counters to put in, with necessary lead? skintsaint Posted 3 August, 2009 Share Posted 3 August, 2009 The clock is more useful in a 1.1 Ltr car isnt it?
Ponty Posted 3 August, 2009 Share Posted 3 August, 2009 Used to sell that sort of stuff in Halfords, back in the day. It's not quite as easy as it used to be to fit on though, I'm sure. It used to be a case of splicing into a couple of wires, one live, one earth and one on the distributor cap. I bet it's a nighmare now.

Ponty Posted 3 August, 2009 Share Posted 3 August, 2009 I suppose getting a set of clocks from a scrapped GTi wouldn't work, no?
Post-it note Posted 3 August, 2009 Share Posted 3 August, 2009 I suppose getting a set of clocks from a scrapped GTi wouldn't work, no? Don't do it. It was bad enough changing a bulb behind the dials. Fecking french piece of ****. Why do you need a rev counter anyway? Will you forget to change gear without one?
