I went with my old man for the Brentford game.

Pros:

The seats you get are extremely comfortable, and you can have a good nosy at Mr. Liebherr and whatever guests he has invited along.

The post-match interview with the MoTM is pretty interesting, and you should get the chance to have a natter with the man in question, get him to sign any autographs for the kids, etc.

Easy to get a pint at half-time.

There's some good competitions to enter for prizes and the Saints quiz they did was pretty fun.

Parking was included (I think!).

Cons:

When we went I think it was still in trial phase, and they hadn't provided enough seating for people to sit and eat.

Beer is fairly expensive, and although they had pumps for cider, when I went it was just Tetley's and Carlsberg available (and some expensive bottled stuff).

Food is a fairly basic cold buffet, though what they did have was nice for what it was.

Atmosphere wasn't up too much, think some people were a little bit disappointed with it (were expecting more), and in fact received a letter through the post a week later apologising, saying they were still experiencing teething problems with this new format, which they would be working on...

All in all, I think it's just about worth it, just don't expect it to be a big swish affair. It is fairly basic, but an interesting insight and certainly an enjoyably different way of taking in a Saints game, and not outrageously expensive.

Thanks.

I will buy the tickets and let you know if it's improved.

The Rovers game will be with the rank and file!!

i went to brentford game,be warned you will be standing all the time even when eating,(food is good tho),i also received an apology letter and was going to book up again for gillingham but when i phoned i was told nothing has changed, which is a shame because i was looking to use it every home game.

on the plus side i won a signed shirt and my boy won the signed ball!!

It nowhere near as good as it was tbh. You do not help yourself to the food anymore, it is served to you. Full cash bar as opposed to free drinks. Slightly shorter opening hours from last few years too. Less than half price than it was though.

You can get the drinks inclusive, 3 course lunch, etc, in the MLT suite but the price is 140 plus vat which is way too much in my opinion. Particularly for a Div 3 game!

+1

i took ten people inc me cost £500 plus drinks in channon club, which is ok,the mlt is far to expensive.next time i would be better off getting a box,got shown around one after brentford game, but it just don't feel like you are at a match!!

Yeah, did this for the Colchester game and wasnt overly impressed tbh. Much preferred the old style in Channon suite. I shall try hiring a box next to see what thats like!

Booked up for the Yeovil game - got an email last week saying that we were being upgraded to an Executive Box for no further charge (they didn't have enough to open the Channon Suite).

I booked two places, we were in with three other couples. Had two course meal, visit from Franny Benali in the box, waitress service all afternoon, tea and coffee, cheese and biccys at half-time. Oh and a free programme each.

All for £50 including a seat on your own private balcony.

FANTASTIC VALUE!

now I know what's putting our plays off putting in a good performance week in week out...it's the thought of having to mix with the fans afterwards that's doing it I reckon! :-)
