ericofarabia Posted 27 October, 2009 Share Posted 27 October, 2009 Looking at the clamber to get tickets for the league game at Orient, I wonder what it's going to be like for the cup game at Brizzle Their ground capacity is around 12000 and the away end only holds 1100 , BUT if I remember correctly for Cup matches the away team are entitled to 25% of the tickets, so about 3000 should be up for grabs, but seeing how easily the Orient tickets went, looks like we may have Cup Fever demand for tickets in the 1st Round  Lolage !! On Sat they managed 7800 for a local derby with Yeovil and earlier 8000 for Brighton, but both these teams probably had at least 1000 away fans. Doubtless though the place will be packed to the rafters when we come to town Can anyone remember how many tickets we were given last time around? (was it the same stadium? I can't keep track with where they play!!) Presumably Season Ticket Holders will get priority, how will 1/2 season ticket holders fare? Might see an increase in those now!! bungle Posted 27 October, 2009 Share Posted 27 October, 2009 Think we got a couple of thousand last time. The terrace and then most (all?) of the stand behind the goal. Be interesting to see if they do a priority scheme (i.e. ST holders with 4 away games get first dibs), or just ST holders first. You would think that all the tickets will go to ST holders. Still, we don't know when the game will be played, yet..
stevegrant Posted 27 October, 2009 Share Posted 27 October, 2009 It's 15% for cup games... when we were there 18 months ago, we had about 1600 if I remember rightly, probably about 1000 on the terrace and the rest seated behind the goal
Prince Jazzbo Posted 27 October, 2009 Share Posted 27 October, 2009 I thought the entitlement for cup games was 15%. Which would give us 1800 or so. If it was 25% that means teams coming to St Mary's would be entitled to 8000. I think the most we've given out is 4800.
sainthomer Posted 27 October, 2009 Share Posted 27 October, 2009 Looking at the Bristol website away fans are entitled to 933 + 506 for cup games instead of 933 and 265 for league games.

Yep you are right ... a bit of mental maths using SMS as a yardstick would have saved me building up peoples hopes and looking like a plonker Oh well can't be good looking and brainy at the same time So if 3000 was going to be a bunfight, 1600-1800 is going to be quite a sight to behold. Sweepstake for when the 1st "any spare Cup tickets" fred starts .... about a minute after this post probably
