david in sweden Posted 16 January, 2010 Share Posted 16 January, 2010 Have just been looking at this... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_Members_Cup There are comprehensive details for all the finals but ours, can anyone help remember who played? Sorry, am bored Whats boring in talkng about Saints ? That final was at Wembley, 29.03.92 Saints lost 2-3 to Notts Forest. team was; Flowers, Kenna, Benali, Horne, Ruddock, Le Tissier ****erill, Shearer, Dowie and Hurlock. Scorers: Le Tissier and Moore. (the match looked like a re-run of the 1979-80 League Cup Final, when we lost 2-3 to ..Notts Forest.! ) All this on page 301 of ...In that Number ..and much more. Duncan ( Fitzhugh Fella ) says there are still a few unsold copies available. At this rate I might need to buy a new copy myself...great reading for historians. miserableoldgit Posted 16 January, 2010 Share Posted 16 January, 2010 Probably the only time that a manager (Br**foot) was booed by his own fans at a Wembley final!

fareham saint phil Posted 16 January, 2010 Share Posted 16 January, 2010 Still got the video and it includes the goals leading up to the final, great day out forest fans were ****, and you had to laugh when a manager that got his team to wembley name was booed. Its funny how other fans think these are mickey mouse cups like the JPT but sod that a wembley final is a wembley final, fantastic day out and who knows if you will get another chance to see your team at wembley again. I was lucky seeing the FA Cup final, Charity Shield, League cup and the ZDS at wembley my kids haven't seen us in a wembley final so for them i hope we make it (Cardiff was fantastic but its not wembley so doesn't count). Also wouldn't it be fantastic to see us win a final again
mynameisthehulk Posted 16 January, 2010 Author Share Posted 16 January, 2010 So looks like we have the Saints starting 11 sorted, what about the subs? maybe Banger? Was Osman still with Saints then? How about the Forest side? Clough, Crosby, Franz Carr maybe? Does it give all the details in "In That Number"?

mcjwills Posted 16 January, 2010 Share Posted 16 January, 2010 Was a great day out on the ****, started with a champagne breakfast followed by dinner at the Wembly Hilton at the end of Wembly way, on to the game to see Matt at Wembly in a saints shirt.
