Big_Bald_Si Posted 31 October, 2010 Share Posted 31 October, 2010 Good man. What a great strike from Lallana, left peg too!
Jesus Reigned Posted 31 October, 2010 Share Posted 31 October, 2010 I can see why Davis wasn't happy with their goal; their attacker on the line just jumped into him, and I noted left his foot in when Davis was on the floor too. Looked at our pen a few times and I think the defender may have got some ball to be fair; will take it though.
Tom8558 Posted 31 October, 2010 Share Posted 31 October, 2010 Davis was definately fouled when he let in the goal. The county player was all over him.

Can't really tell from the angel of the cameras. They didn't complain much though.

Doesn't matter really, from the still photo on the OS it looks like a scissors tackle from behind, tackling behind being outlawed whether or not you touch the ball it just doesn't make any difference, especially if you sweep a players leg or legs from under him whilst doing it. It is a commonly held fallacy that "getting a foot on the ball" alters the legality of a bad tackle..it doesn't.

Window Cleaner Posted 31 October, 2010 Share Posted 31 October, 2010 (edited) I hear what you say but I thought it was more from the side to be fair. looks like he's behind Barney to me http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/javaImages/e/bf/0,,10280~9158414,00.jpg In fact the law has been changed by FIFA, all dangerous tackles are now sanctionable,no matter what angle they come from, it's up to the ref to decide what's dangerous and what isn't. Exactly, even if he did get a slight touch on the ball the way in which he came in for the tackle could easily be seen as dangerous.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 31 October, 2010 Share Posted 31 October, 2010 Davis was definately fouled when he let in the goal. The county player was all over him. Photos from OS prove this: He was held back all the way, then bundled into the net.

corky morris Posted 31 October, 2010 Share Posted 31 October, 2010 I was interested to see that Alan Lee was sent off for Huddersfield. Fair play they beat us fair & square up there, but they had had 4 players sent off prior to playing us. Lee makes 5. They need a lenient ref to win games. Just a bunch of thugs IMHO.
