supersonic Posted 25 January, 2011 Share Posted 25 January, 2011 Was just wandering if anyone had any Match-day Superstitions, and if so, what are they? these can we as weird and wonderful as you like. Also, feel free to add any which you know other people do. Mine is that (apart from Jeans) I never wear anything blue and I never shave on the day of a match (don't ask!) Discuss.... There's OCD in there somewhere. Weirdo ;-) ;-) I don't really have any superstitions as such but I have to wear my saints shirt to every game without fail, even if only under my coat. Silly really as makes never makes any difference to the outcome

NorthamSteve Posted 25 January, 2011 Share Posted 25 January, 2011 5 or 6 beers before kick off. I have never sat in or stood next to my real seat. I have always used the one next to or just down the row.
Colinjb Posted 25 January, 2011 Share Posted 25 January, 2011 Has to be the same car park, same bookies and same pub on the way up... The walk back has to be the same route too. When they shut the railways bridge for rebuild not far from the college street car park I was utterly lost. (And it coincided with our awful form around september too.... make of that what you will.) SNSUN Posted 25 January, 2011 Share Posted 25 January, 2011 I have my lucky MLT Corinthian figurine that I take to all the games, which is half a good luck charm and half a nervous twitch. (True) I also crack one out at Winchester services on my way to Southampton. (Not true)
Colinjb Posted 25 January, 2011 Share Posted 25 January, 2011 See our loss of form was all your fault, hold your head in shame. Maybe so, but from the moment I had to change my pre-match pub from 'The Eagle' things improved quite a lot!!!
Alain Perrin Posted 25 January, 2011 Share Posted 25 January, 2011 I hang round Winchester services spying on people cracking one out before the game....
hamster Posted 25 January, 2011 Share Posted 25 January, 2011 Anyone else noticed how one of Ted Bates feet is becoming polished with all the passing hands that touch it for luck. Mine is to try to take a pee after the 3rd corner of the second half.
Saint Luke Posted 26 January, 2011 Share Posted 26 January, 2011 Always have my tea out of my Saints mug. If the wife makes the tea and it's not in that mug I always worry.
