Saint Garrett Posted 1 May, 2011 Share Posted 1 May, 2011 Have mentioned it in the post match reaction thread but believe it warranted a thread of its own. About 10 mins before the game kicked off yesterday, in walked Barnard, Doble, Forecast, Holmes and Chamberlain into the seated areas of the away stand. I couldn't really see their celebrations when we scored as I was on the other side of the stand. Great to see them seeing the game from our perspective, and hopefully will let them realise (if they didn't already) how much it means to us as fans! Anyone manage to grab a chat with any of them ? Fantastic day out...1 more win...
NorthamSteve Posted 1 May, 2011 Share Posted 1 May, 2011 I drunkenly lurched at Barnard and shook the hand of Oxo.

hamster Posted 1 May, 2011 Share Posted 1 May, 2011 Not sure about celebrations, there was a big crowd of saints staff and players in the corner at the finalmwhistle and not a smile to be seen. I put that down to Nigel instilling a sober mantra in the club top to bottom. At their age, seeing a group of adults acting like us loons would have left me very perturbed. How the he'll do they remain so bloody calm?
hamster Posted 1 May, 2011 Share Posted 1 May, 2011 Also post match all the players had to leave through the area behind the main stand waited in small groups by the gate and in the street outside. it took quite a while for Nigel's bus to arrive to collect them. They once again behaved impeccably and signed literally hundreds of autographs and posed for numerous photos. It was mainly Brentford fans who clearly knew that it willmbe long time until a team of our class grace their beautiful little ground again. My favourite away ground is now Griffin Park.
