miserableoldgit Posted 30 May, 2011 Share Posted 30 May, 2011 But Markus wasn`t involved with the crane company was he? He had his own business Mali, so I don`t think any money came from the cranes.
toofarnorth Posted 30 May, 2011 Share Posted 30 May, 2011 But I assume the Liebherr family who inherited Mali, from Markus are involved in the Liebherr company that markus gave up his shares in?
Springhill Posted 30 May, 2011 Share Posted 30 May, 2011 Have a look at this..... http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=RobaJKGMMiE !!! Why don't we have Liebherr on the shirts??
Matthew Le God Posted 30 May, 2011 Share Posted 30 May, 2011 (edited) Why don't we have Liebherr on the shirts?? Because that is Willi and Isolade Liebherr's company. Markus didn't have anything to do with the family company (started by his dad Hans Liebherr in 1948 ) since the early 1990's when he sold his shares and set up the Mali Group of companies. People confuse his "family" as being his brother and sister's company, when it is actually his wife/children that is being referred to when discussed as his family. Have a look at this..... http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=RobaJKGMMiE !!! This is a more up to date video showing what Willi and Isolade's company does... [video=youtube;fWGENe-GuSk]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWGENe-GuSk It is a huge company and spans a wide variety of industries, as the video shows. You assume that Willi and Isolde inherited Markus' company. Reality is probably very different, I thought he had at least one daughter, more likely that she would have been the main benefactor.
