hamster Posted 2 June, 2011 Share Posted 2 June, 2011 (edited) Selling as part of a larger collection, more to follow. Sale by auction exclusively on SWF free delivery in Soton area and collection welcome. All proceeds to JustMike's ML Flag fund. Serious bids only please. Saints Programmes 2000/2001 – present day Condition: All 'good' unless stated As the programmes are being sold as collections please accept that there may be the occasional one with scores, goals corers and substitutions written in them. I will try to mention this as and when I come across them but cannot guarantee finding them. To the ‘serious’ collector this may be of paramount importance, however I personally am of the opinion that it adds something more tangible (if that’s the right word). SaintBobby Posted 2 June, 2011 Share Posted 2 June, 2011 Is that about 50 programmes? If so, I'll offer 50 quid and pay p&p to London.
Colinjb Posted 2 June, 2011 Share Posted 2 June, 2011 There is only one I would want from that. Would you be happy to accept an individual bid for just that one programme??
hamster Posted 2 June, 2011 Author Share Posted 2 June, 2011 I just found a courier that will collect and deliver, anywhere mainland for under a tenner! Top man SaintBobby, I wasn't expecting that mate. BTW You'll love some of the older ones which I'll sell in seperate auctions. Oldest 1949, but my personal favourite is playing Man United away just after they came home with the European Cup (1968). They had Best, Law and Charlton amongst other household names in the squad and we thrashed them 1-4, all Saints goals scored by the legendary Ron Davies. Also to whet the apetites I've got an autographed Nick Holmes Testimonial cricket match programme. Plenty of UEFA cup games too (60's, 70's and 80's). Only if it's the Pompey v Gills one Colin. I always knew you were a closet Gills fan like my good self. Seriously though, I was going to suggest something along thise lines dependant on it preceding the first bid. Have to be fair, sorry. Maybe chat to the eventual winning bidder? Which one was it out of interest?

Which one was it out of interest? Saints v Steaua Bucharest. The UEFA Cup home program. Work commitments at Southampton Airport at the time meant I couldn't go. Was gutted and I never got round to finding/buying a program. Owning one would almost be a cathartic for that moment I missed. SaintBobby, I am willing to open negotiation. The same would apply for any winning bidder.

I decided at the last minute decided to do an end of auction bundle of 'doubles', one of which is another Steua home programme. I'm not sure it's as rare as you may think and wouldn't wish to mislead anyone. What I'll do is list them as seperates at the end and ( a few weeks away yet) and invite individual offers, any remaining after that go in one bundle. can't say fairer than that. One special condition I will apply to all of your bids is that you close them with 'Deal Town, pride of East Kent' a bit like Simon say's.

Rarity isn't really the issue, it's more just getting hold of one and if it helps out the Markus Leibherr flag all the better. Margate F.C. Pride of Thanet. hamster Posted 3 June, 2011 Author Share Posted 3 June, 2011 Incidentally Col, I heard that the away fixture's programme was only for sale in Bucharest City centre. Many Saints fans missed out as they were escorted airport-stadium-airport om the night. Steau played Liverpool in the next round and a few of their fans bought them up then sold them via e-bay at big profits.

John Boy Saint Posted 3 June, 2011 Share Posted 3 June, 2011 I have a 1972ish V Arsenal one with Bob Wilsons Autograph on the front cover, which is photo of one being slotted past him the previous season. Often wondered if it had any value to someone should I ever consider selling it.
