I forgot, you have to disable the process that runs as this little b*stard, I used a programme called Rkill that disabled it long enough for me to start a scan.

 

However, if I was you I would follow this link, it should be a lot easier then the way I did it, in the explanation anyway.

I recently had a virus that was 'clever' enough to disable and/or intercept any attempt to run malware removal software (malwarebytes and the like)

 

I ended up creating a rescue disk on another PC - available free from Kaspersky website - and booting up on that. It has an integral virus checker which did the business.
