Meh.

Running zombies. Rewrites. Family in peril trope.

This may be alright, but I'm not optimistic.

The audiobook version is excellent, has a great cast and I suspect will be with you a lot longer than what I suspect will be Yet Another Effects Film.

Looks farking shiiiiite. CGI zombies?

Read the book again the other day having already read it countless times. Fantastic book and ripe for adaptation as a mini-series or maybe a few films. Trying to fit everything into a linear story revolving around a central character smacks of typical Hollywood arrogance and ego. You couldn't ask for better source material really but it seems that they've largely ignored it.

Basically an I Am Legend remake? Although to be fair IAL invented zombie plagues so every zombie movie is based on it

Don't think so. Lots of humans still about in the World War Z universe ( at least in books ). That"s who has the war with the zombies ;)
