Viking Warrior Posted 24 July, 2013 Share Posted 24 July, 2013 I see the nanny state is about to hit the MOD re the deaths of two TA soldiers taking part in SaS selection The coroner Louise hunt has stated that the Human Rights Act particularly the article on a right to life will play an important part in her decision re their deaths last week . She has warned the MOD about her potential judgement . Some times if you want to be the best you have to push yourself to the limit . I feel very sad at the two lads death . But the HRA should not be used in this situation . I now predict members of the services could well end up in jail . If what she is stating comes to fruition Meanwhile at Pirbright . Mid November . Drill sgt to recruits right you or rile lot out side for a run Sorry sgt it's frosty outside and we might slip and hurt our selfs and you can make us as it against our Human Rights Dril sgt sorry lads forgot about your rights, go back to bed you orrible ****ing bunch of whimps Coming to military camp close to you . Colinjb Posted 24 July, 2013 Share Posted 24 July, 2013 Yes, soft training practices will help them when behind enemy lines. Madness. Any loss of life is tragic but there are always going to be risks in this type of thing.
Saint in Paradise Posted 24 July, 2013 Share Posted 24 July, 2013 I thought that the brave SAS and SBS men loved that type of challenge ? I am sure if the selection/training process is made easier a lot of those men won't try and join the SAS or SBS. I say brave and I mean it, just read what they have done in the past and that is only the stuff that has been allowed to be released goodness what other stuff they have done that will forever remain secret. Trying to make sure when you are stuck in a battlefield you have the inner will and strength to survive when surrounded on all sides by bloodthirsty enemies. A violation of your human rights, despite you being a volunteer. You couldnt make it up... I remember some years ago when some Navy divers died during a run in their wetsuits along a beach. This fuss wasnt made then. In the past, the families of the bereaved would have stood against this. Now I hope they arent just standing with the claims lawyers.
