pap Posted 18 January, 2014 Share Posted 18 January, 2014 Tragic news from Afghanistan this morning. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/10947154.Top_Southampton_politician_dies_in_Afghanistan_bomb_horror/?ref=var_0 I knew Del. He was a top bloke, loved Southampton (the city) and spent his life trying to help others. At school, his easy manner and ability to get on with everyone built bridges between the various ethnic communities. He took those qualities into his adult life, becoming a huge advocate for the Palestinian cause. Southampton lost a son and brother last night - one of its best. RIP, Del. Dr Who? Posted 18 January, 2014 Share Posted 18 January, 2014 Extremely sad new. He was top lad a school and in his life which he dedicated to helping and trying to make other peoples lives better, above his own safety, he crammed in much more good than I ever will! RIP Del Boy! Viking Warrior Posted 18 January, 2014 Share Posted 18 January, 2014 That's terrible news . A good man I met a few years back . And as pap said he did his best to unite different ethnic communities . I hadn't realised that he was an advocate for the Palestinian cause . He would have had my total support for that cause . Which I do support 100%
