Batman Posted 7 February, 2015 Share Posted 7 February, 2015 (edited) Anyone else like to turn off the telly when he is on. Just trying to copy the old fergie routine and it is boring. Not speaking to the press is just plain poor. It is the media which pump the mental amounts of money in so he can earn a crazy wage He also said about the refs agenda against his side as well as other things Now saying that man city should not be champions due to their vast spending. As a Chelsea manager.... Saying that lol Edited 7 February, 2015 by Batman
lifeintheslowlane Posted 7 February, 2015 Share Posted 7 February, 2015 After reading what he was saying about Man City and FFP in The Times today I can see where he's coming from. Yes Chelsea have also played cheque book football in the past but with the advent of FFP they have publicly said they will abide by it whilst Man City seem to have no such intent. To punish the mega-rich clubs with just a financial penalty doesn't make for a level playing field...hitting them with a substantial points deduction will. Frank's cousin Posted 7 February, 2015 Share Posted 7 February, 2015 Might be a mad idea or not, don't know, but always felt that a way round the disparity in wages might be to set a 'target' amount say 70mil. for every mil spent above that amount clubs are deducted a certain number of points. It would be calculated on the total spent on all squad players remuneration so includes basic, image rights, bonuses etc - so no hiding wages on 'extras' - It should also be based on the total ANNUAL salaries of any player who makes a first team appearance in any competition that a club participates in in a given season excluding U21s that have been at the club before their 17th birthday - but including players out on loan - might encourage more youngsters to be a given a chance? Would make FFP redundant and would not restrict transfers spend.
Batman Posted 7 February, 2015 Author Share Posted 7 February, 2015 I can't see how Man City should be punished. No debt on the club at all. Yet United can spend untold fortunes and be in serious debt
