Mole Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 firstly i know that with Judas Wilde supporting Lowe the result may be a lost cause, but it'd be an occasion that would provide good publicity to the Lowe Out cause in the National media. If everyone bought 1 share for say 50p would we be entitled to attend? There is the big issue of cost. Perhaps Leon Crouch would back us or there is the good old fashioned bucket collection method of raising funds. The whole process of going about this would be great publicity and even if Lowe then quit the money could go towards a good cause.
derry Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 I think 10% of the shareholding is needed. Firstly it needs Crouch/Corbett onside with 16%ish, form an association, with high profile figures, MLT, LM, Salz, Trant, connected. Appeal to the 40%ish of small shareholders not in the Lowe/Wilde/Askham axis to proxy their shares to the association. Provided enough votes can be obtained, then an EGM could be called and could remove the present incumbents.
Weston Saint Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 Lowe made his move to push Crouch out by an EGM threat because he knew he had, with Wildes support, a majority support. Crouch stepped down because he knew he had a minority support without Wilde. Nothing seems to have changed.

From a mathematical point of view Ron, there are about 50% plus maybe 5% unissued that are not allied to Lowe. If in the unlikely event the shareholders all feel the same way about Lowe and had a figurehead organisation to represent them, decisions by referendum, he could be ousted. Weston Saint Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 But not all the other shareholders will want to oust Lowe for Crouch. There has to be a viable alternative leader with a respected team with football interests at the fore and a 5 year business plan to turn the club round. It is not a case of just getting rid of Lowe and his group, as I know you appreciate Dave.
SaintRobbie Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 If we the fans want to be constructive. We need to tell the world we would welcome a buyer. We need to sell this club. Lowe isnt selling it, he has already declined the last concrete offer (SISU). SELL THE CLUB... and if we fail... Keep telling the world we're for sale.
