InvictaSaint Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 Just a thought, but much has been written about the reaction of the players to the substitutions during yesterday's game; Perry's utter confusion and dismay at being taken off, Saints players whistling to the bench for instructions and just shrugging their shoulders when nothing was forthcoming. Despite what has been written by many, Paul Wotton is still here. If he is as cheesed off as reports have suggested, surely he, Perry, Kelvin and others must be looking at what is going on and thinking "we can't go on like this"? If nothing else, these more experienced pros must be concerned about how this madness is affecting the kids in the squad - how their morale and self-belief must be in tatters. Only a few short years ago, we had stories of Dodd, Beattie and others allegedly going to Lowe and complaining about Sturrock - and that was when things were comparatively good! What price a player revolt now, when our need is that much greater?
Bailey Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 There was a big bust-up after the Burnley match which resulted in Wotton being left out of the team. Wotton had some very choice words for the coaching staff! Only in the last couple of matches has he been involved again after his loan move to Brighton fell through. There's no dressing room revolt just yet, but the players aren't overly amused by all the goings on at the minute.
Whitey Grandad Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 Well, somebody's got to do something. Perhaps a player's revolt would do the trick?
Toomer Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 What senior players we have left need to grow some balls and say sh!t or bust lets have it out with this inept coach/manager.

InvictaSaint Posted 18 January, 2009 Author Share Posted 18 January, 2009 it already happened a couple of weeks ago. Thanks Lordswoodsaints - do you know anymore? If true, then surely significant - perhaps yesterday was the result rather than the catalyst?
pilsburydoughboy Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 Looking at the players reaction and body language yesterday i think they have had enough of Jan.They look unfit and unwilling to really spark any kind off ight back. Most of the team are out in Town the night before games and straight out after games regardless of their performances. We are the worst Saints team i have seen in years gutless, passionless, uninspired and full of self importance.

Alan56 Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 Player revolt??? Get real - the average footballer couldn't spell revolt let alone carry it out. First home game this season after not having missed one since 1974. Won't be rushing back unless I can be guaranteed the off field entertainment that we got yesterday. There was sod all on the field was there? Last game was v Charlton at the Valley. An insane song was started at that game by some of the ****s who follow us re Bradley brain dead WP stealing from Skates. Sadly it started again yesterday. This to me is a sign of just how low this club has fallen. Thank god I didn't renew the season tkt.
Mole Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 There would have been no players revolt or disharmony under Nigel Pearson.
Block 5 Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 Player revolt??? Get real - the average footballer couldn't spell revolt let alone carry it out. I think that you'll find that all the best revolutions were carried out by people who couldn't spell. With bourgeois opinions like those, you'll be first up against the wall when the revolution comes, Brother!
ladysaint Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 Thought Skacel and Euell had already said what they thought.
