Carlton Leech certainly seems to think it’s not who they pinned it on. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it was a complete police set up to take out a Essex top draw at the time. Just think, kill 3 then frame 2 for the murder, Job done. Carlton (who probably has a good idea what really happened) is adamant Jack Whomes had nothing to do with it, but cannot say the same for Micky Steele - despite probably not pulling the trigger. Rise of the Foot Soldier is a very good film, the 2nd not so much (and that is where Carlton Leach departs from the franchise).
