Wade Garrett Posted Friday at 17:37 Posted Friday at 17:37 "And then it’s about style of play, an understanding of English mentality and football in general”. The way I read this is we aren’t getting some unknown from the Continent.

bangkoksaint Posted Friday at 18:37 Posted Friday at 18:37 A pretty simple and straightforward philosophy, but the question I keep asking myself is how on earth have we managed to let things slip so badly for so long? I hope we keep him but given our recent history I wonder if he’ll be here come the new year?
saint michael Posted Friday at 19:15 Posted Friday at 19:15 I guess we will soon find out, but to me it feels like another example of football over complicating something very simple. Science and data has a part to play in supporting performance but not driving performance. The idea of getting a manager in and supplying players to them still feels alien to me. It depends I suppose upon the balance between buying a player that fits the sell on aims of the business, (sorry football club…nearly forgot) and trying to build something slightly cohesive that would build a football club with some sporting aims. 1
