Presidents Putin and Xi apparently overheard talking about it today. Probably not an accident that the conversation was overheard given the choreography around everything people in their positions do. 

Personally, my completely non-scientific opinion, is that it will never be possible*. But more to the point, I'm not sure why anyone would want to be immortal. Not like it'd be long enough to see Saints ever win anything.

 

* Disclaimer, about 20 years ago I also thought it'd never be possible to pause live TV so what do I know.

For those who can remember it, it's probably more like Leonid Breznhev in Whoops Apocalypse, with new clones of the leader being rolled out as needed.
