You cant use the Membership plus ticket for Pompey, they have been really sly with this, advertised the complimentary tickets as any Catergory A, B or C game, but Pompey is A+ catergory and therefore not eligble even tho last season it was Catergory A. It has pissed me off, I will use the free tickets for other games anyway and would have brought the Membership Plus even if I knew Pompey was not eligible but its just the way they've gone about it to increase sales. They should have made it clear that I would not include Pompey.

In fairness I think them saying any A/B/C game does make it pretty clear given it was its own category last season as well.

I think the pricing is the bigger issue.

Do they actually disclose anywhere which teams/games fall into each of the categories? Tried looking the other day but couldn't find it...

Nope. They used to years back but then realised there's more money in deciding as they go throughout the season.

Would be interesting if somebody could be arsed to keep a record of each one for this season to review at the end

You can guarantee that the £5 tickets for juniors as part of the membership plus will all be midweek games because they know the younger ones will be less likely to go.

I remember back when they used to disclose it, there used to be a graphic that came out alongside the pricing graphics to show the rates and who was categorised as what. Sort of thing the FAB should be raising with the club really as there's no need for there to be a lack of transparency on the categories

It's all about money. If they did it pre season then Lincoln in April would be the lowest category but if we're going for promotion you can bet it'll be higher.

Arguably there shouldn't be any categories at all in this league anyway.

Has the new FAB been appointed yet?

The fact that we even group opponents into tiers in the Championship is a joke in itself to be honest, let alone 4 of them.

I genuinely think we'll struggle to sell out with all this nonsense and high prices , plus the effort of a midday kick off on the sabbath

Plus the bubble takes a bit of spice out of the occasion.

Im sure if we start winning football games and looking like a good team again people will snap them up.

I think last season it sold out quite late, maybe a week or so before?

Can anyone remember if they did the extra ticket thing last year?

It did sell quite late, initially it was on sale to members with a purchase from that season, then members with purchase from 2021 , I think the last few tickets might have gone to non-members with purchase history but not 100% sure on that.

She has to have a membership, been to match in the 5 seasons before this one, and then buy a different match this season.

Won't be doing the Pompey game this year after working out it'll be £140 for my dad and I, just for memberships and tickets, before even thinking to start about travel, food and drink. We only get to a handful of games each season as we've both moved away from the area, so we'd be getting the memberships just for this game. Can't justify it. After being to a few derbies in the early 2000's, the atmosphere from those games compared to last season was night and day. Didn't feel any different to playing any other team in the league due to the "bubble". I think the Boro game might be spicier.

Interesting viewpoint, having a look now and ticket sales look very slow for the Pompey game , been on sale a week and other than Northam wall doesn't look like that many sold, particularly either side of away end, think midday Sunday people just can't be arsed with it at such an expense.
