Couple of questions?

1. It used to be that if a Goalkeeper put his foot/hand outside the penalty box whilst in control of the ball, it was considered handball and a free kick was given to the opposing team.
    That doesnt seem to be the case in recent times and there have been several occasions when 'keepers have despatched the ball upfield with their feet and/or hands have been outside the penalty area.
    Shouldnt that result in a free kick?

2. Is there such thing as an indirect free kick nowadays?

1. It's the location of the hand that touches the ball that matters. If the hand is outside the penalty area but the ball is inside (could be on the line) then it counts as handball. The feet don't count. This is a fairly recent IFAB clarification. 

2. Not so many indirects as there used to be. Apart from offside of course:

 

Dangerous Play: Playing in a dangerous manner without making physical contact, such as a high boot near an opponent's head.Impeding Progress:

Blocking or obstructing an opponent's progress without making physical contact.

Goalkeeper Handlers: A goalkeeper handling the ball after a deliberate backpass from a teammate, after receiving it directly from a throw-in by a teammate, or rehandling it after releasing it before it touches another player.

Goalkeeper Time: Controlling the ball with their hands/arms for more than six seconds before releasing it.

Dissent or Language: Using offensive, insulting, or abusive language and/or gestures.

It did when I played - I'm 64 now - once a team moaned so much that I was handling the ball outside the penalty area when I did my crap dropkicks, that the referee came and stood inline on the wing with the edge of my penalty area to watch me drop kicking it. I told him what I was doing beforehand but he had to do that.

What I was doing was throwing the ball inside the area outside the area and kicking it then - he saw it three times and said I was doing nothing wrong and 'play on'.

Maybe it was me who made them change the rules?
