AwaySaint1 Posted 6 February, 2009 Share Posted 6 February, 2009 Maybe if Saints worked with the fans rather than sat in an Ivory tower the gate swould increase: Message from EFC below: We are very keen to play our home game with Chelmsfiord City tomorrow (Saturday 7th Feb)! The pitch is currently completely free of snow, but as you would expect it is very, very wet. The forecast for the next 24 hours is reasonable, but we expect the pitch to remain wet and perhaops in need of attention in the morning. Can we ask that, if you have the time to spare, you come down to the ground any time after 9am, with your pitch forks! Please feel free to ring me (07798.792628 ) before you set out, to check the latest conditions. Hopefully, with your help, we will be able to say - GAME ON! INFLUENCED.COM Posted 6 February, 2009 Share Posted 6 February, 2009 SMS had agency staff Tuesday clearing snow of the stands, the pitch was Ok, if this request from EFC was made by SFC people would create suggesting we must be well and truly in the cart if we can't afford staff to clear the pitch/stands how far off now is administration, yet another case of dammed if they do dammed if they don't. Great for EFC but would be misinterpreted had SFC made a similar request

Deano6 Posted 6 February, 2009 Share Posted 6 February, 2009 It's England. Duh! You're right - it's the credit crunch. Still, you'd think they could prioritise.
lordswoodsaints Posted 7 February, 2009 Share Posted 7 February, 2009 didnt we have an appeal for worms at the dell a few years ago? i think it was something to do with drainage?,the club asked for everybody to bring worms to the dell and put them on the pitch,i dont think it was a good attendance and they ended up with about 20 worms when they needed 20,000.
