sidthesquid Posted 16 February, 2009 Share Posted 16 February, 2009 Really boring, I know, for all you marchers and pitch invaders and website commandos, but season tickets are the key. ST holders are the core of the club, not overseas mitherers and those that boycott home games for their own reasons - you have no power over the club, but we do. Quite soon the club are going to be after our money again on the early-bird renewals. If everyone (who wishes to) sends back a letter (possibly a pro-forma) stating that you will not renew at present but guarantee to do so the day after Lowe/Wilde/Crouch etc are no longer involved in the club, I believe that that would make them stop and think. $$$ Posted 16 February, 2009 Share Posted 16 February, 2009 Wow, what an amazing thread. I can't believe there has been no similar post about this before. Oh hang on... If you wish to pay me the difference between the early bird price and whatever the price is when you decide it is acceptable for me to renew, I might consider it. Otherwise FOAD kthxbye

I am a ST holder and will not be renewing. That will be noted by SFC. What is the point of making yourself a target with a stupid letter that will go to landfill anyway
saint_ed Posted 16 February, 2009 Share Posted 16 February, 2009 While I agree with the idea, there are plenty of threads already discussing it.

As one of the "overseas mitherers", I happen to agree with you. But unfortunately, there are too many in the ST database who see having a ST as some sort of (o(k-extension with which to win piissing contests about Ueber-Fandom with. Let's face it, the way things are with attendance, you stand a superb chance of getting your seat or the one next to it even if you pay on the door, so that's all having an ST is. Andy_Porter Posted 16 February, 2009 Share Posted 16 February, 2009 Obviously people only buy season tickets so they can show off about being uber fans, nothing at all to do with the money saved.

Explain the behaviour at the ManYoo game then. And I thought the ST holders were supporting the clubs future ? Surely they would mind paying more then, if it helped their beloved club to survive ? Andy_Porter Posted 16 February, 2009 Share Posted 16 February, 2009 What behaviour at the Man Utd game? just because some season tickets holders where chanting about "plastics" doesn't mean we all where. I'm not going to pay extra to help the club survive, it's not just SFC that's got money issues atm. Giving them £350 every year is more than enough. Don't lecture me again. Every time I go, I pay more for the facilities that I use.
