um pahars Posted 23 February, 2009 Share Posted 23 February, 2009 If he is, then he's kept a much lower profile!!!!! Maybe he got kicked out when Jan got the boot, maybe Wotte doesn't like him or maybe he's still here revising our long term strategy with Lowe:D:D Given we never knew he was here (and what his contribution was), I think it's somewhat unlikely that we'd be told he's upped and left (after all we still haven't been officially told about Hockaday and Webster)
ladysaint Posted 23 February, 2009 Share Posted 23 February, 2009 Be interested to know if he was in the directors box on Saturday going by what Wotte said in the Echo he seems a fan of the man Head coach Mark Wotte said: “Kim has been very helpful this season with his contacts in England to bring in players like Lee Holmes and Ryan Smith. “He is one of those contacts that we have in Southampton if we want to bring in good players. “He is well respected within the club, he is not employed by the club. “He is an independent contact for us and we are very happy with him.”
SaintRobbie Posted 23 February, 2009 Share Posted 23 February, 2009 Must still be about... although I suspect he hasnt been upsetting the players at training lately. Wonder how much he takes from the club. Will it appear in the accounts?

Do PSV and FC Twente employ English consultants to tell them who they should be looking at in the Dutch lower leagues? You couldn't make it up. Bailey Posted 23 February, 2009 Share Posted 23 February, 2009 He definitely wasn't in the Director's Box on Saturday, and I haven't seen him at St Mary's since we found out who he was on here. If he is still involved at the club, he's been keeping a much lower profile!
trousers Posted 23 February, 2009 Share Posted 23 February, 2009 I've often wondered if it was van de Waals that convinced Lowe to take on Poortvliet. Someone must have convinced Lowe to go for a 'Dutch Double Act' when Lowe seemed happy (3 years ago) to install a lone Dutchman in Wotte. Not forgetting that it was van de Waals who was spotted at Southampton Airport with both men in March last year. Who convinced Lowe to bring in Poortvliet AND Wotte and what did they have to gain, if anything, from such persuasion? My hunch could be completely wide of the mark of course.....
