Gemmel Posted 17 March, 2009 Share Posted 17 March, 2009 Just had an email from a Blackpool fan, that one of their past "Greats" has died. Minutes silence on Saturday. Not familiar with him myself, but this is apparently a big thing to Blackpool fans
chocco boxo Posted 17 March, 2009 Share Posted 17 March, 2009 Remember him did he not have a part in that great Mickey Walsh FA Cup goal? RIP I hope we respect the minutes silence, we always seem to.
St Landrew Posted 17 March, 2009 Share Posted 17 March, 2009 When I saw this earlier today on the BBC Football website, I immediately remembered the name, but I thought he'd played before I started going down the Dell. Turns out he didn't. At most, I would have only seen him play twice though. But of course there was Football News and MOTD, so his name obviously popped up now and then. RIP to the fella. Likewise, I hope we respect the minute's silence. And then the respect has to end, because we have to beat them.
Give it to Ron Posted 17 March, 2009 Share Posted 17 March, 2009 I am sure it will be immaculately observed like that at QPR for Ray Jones.

OldNick Posted 18 March, 2009 Share Posted 18 March, 2009 I remeber the name and had him in my sticker book of players in the 70's.
