ooohTerryHurlock Posted 2 April, 2009 Share Posted 2 April, 2009 The City can not afford to loose either the team or the stadium - so is it time our council to get involved. The stadium is one of the few assests it has. Apart from that our town is very second rate. They have a vault full of art that is not on display worth many millions of pounds and also had money to invest in Iceland so why don't they buy the stadium and lease it back. Plus it can then become a community stadium and maybe get used more. The club can play a small rent until it gets back on its feet and away you go! Just an idea but surely that would secure the future of the club if we can get the stadium debt of our back? Plus we need to do something now - pass the pot around we are broke and we need money to save ourselves!

They will do nothing, they never have and probably never will. How much were our rates last year? did they give us a rebate? were they going to this year? How odd that would be if we are in admin because we couldn't pay our rates bill.
