stevegrant Posted 4 August, 2008 Share Posted 4 August, 2008 With Flintoff returning, I guess it's not much of a surprise that Mascarenhas is the one to make way. At least it means he's available to Hampshire for the forseeable future...
saint1977 Posted 4 August, 2008 Share Posted 4 August, 2008 Was always likely, Dimi is also playing in a struggling side and is not finding captaincy easy. Still, he's the next cab off the rank should there be an injury and I would not play Freddie in all the ODIs but Moores will because he is a plank. Luke Wright always looks like a bowler with potential yet only gets 3-4 overs but could take some of the weight off of Freddie.
Leicestersaint Posted 4 August, 2008 Share Posted 4 August, 2008 Hampshire need him - we need all the help we can get at present.
AndyNorthernSaints Posted 4 August, 2008 Share Posted 4 August, 2008 Seems a bit a of a risk to play Flintoff in all one dayers as well as having bowl the most overs in tests so soon after returning from injury.
Barfy Posted 7 August, 2008 Share Posted 7 August, 2008 Given Dimi's destructive ability with the bat, I must admit I'd have him in there in place of Wright or Flintoff, though I'd probably try and find a way to accomodate Dimi and Flintoff. Is it possible that Dimi's exclusion is some kind of punishment for going to play in the IPL? It just strikes me as very wierd that he's not even in the squad
